My P2 has the 19” wheels. Cooler more restrained look. The 20 inch wheels make the car look “overtired” and shout too loud. I love the P2 because it’s so stealth and doesn’t alienate as much like Tesla, BMW i series .and even Audi ETron. Not a perfect car by any means, interior needs some ergonomic mods, but not a deal breaker. Car is a hoot to drive and not having a gas bill, oil changes, smog tests, etc. is such a lifestyle change. I have a home charger so EV ownership has been a pleasure. 2 years and no maintenance issues.

I have a friend with the AWD version of this 2024 Polestar 2. He says it is the best winter car he has ever had, but he has no experience of other EV:s, only German gas/diesel cars so it is not really comparable. Yet he is very happy with his AWD Polestar 2.

Interesting to see in the other video about the quick speed and also that the sound was on par with other cars. For a couple of years ago the Polestar 2 really was my dream car. I think it still looks really good today, and the update gives it a fresh look again. But in 2023, I feel the consumption is too high, especially considering it has been updated. Just compare it to a BMW i4, not to mention the Model 3 ofcourse. I'd happily own one, but in 2023 with my own money I'd be shopping elsewhere.

It definitely wasn't the first time Model 3 cabin noise has been improved, Tesla definitely did it at least once when they switched to acoustic glass in the front windows few years ago, plus there may be some other minor improvements before.

I took a polestar 2 test drive a few weeks ago. The car felt more quiet compared to my 2021 Model 3 on 110 km motorway. I also did some measurements with an app on my phone to confirm it, but I'm not sure how accurate the app was. Anyways, I'm surprised to hear people complain about it.

Good to see they're making improvements. I have 2023 LR DM and I can say I'm fairly disappointed overall for a £54k car + a brand which position themselves as premium/luxury. The drivetrain has a lot of power, but it also has all sort of vibrations - maybe this got improved by moving the motor to the rear. Ride & handling over bendy roads is poor. Don't mistake this as a sporty car just because it has a lot of power! The front seats are a low quality. I have the Plus pack giving me the upgraded ones. However after the first 2 months they started coming loose. The side bolsters are wobbly & making cracking noises, the lumber support makes weird noises and recently, all sorts of clicking sounds coming from the bottom part just going around a roundabout. I don't know if the leather seats (included in this video) are better, I hope they are given how much extra $$$ they cost. I've driven a lot of cars in my life, some of them with over 160k km, over 10y old, but I've never had seats so poor quality. Definitely didn't see this coming given how close Polestar is to Volvo and Volvo has been making car seats for decades. Unfortunately the Polestar warranty isn't keen on fixing any of these issues as they say it's "characteristic of the car". They know they have quality issues and fixing all of these it would mean they would be bleeding money all over. Otherwise I think the car is great, I love the software & the design.

Can I ask? Does Norway/Sweden contract out for highway/road maintenance? Or is it government road work? Because your roads are amazing.
@tobias_dahlberg
@tobias_dahlberg Жыл бұрын
The short answer is: the government does not actually BUILD, but they do plan everything and they are part of the entire process. In Sweden, for many years it was the government that did the work. Today, it is the government that plans, specifies and does all the requirements and planning efforts, then a company like Svevia (who was previously owned by the state but is now privately owned) actually builds the roads and does maintenance. But there is a very close relationship between the two. You will have representatives from the government visiting and doing validation of the work, as they have done all the planning and need to see that it has been done like it should. The projects are always led by the government agency. For city streets, the municipality in question are responsible for their streets and will have their own infrastructure division similar to the big one in Sweden.

This car is most intresting because is in price range with Tesla model Y but much better quality and one more thing. Zeekr have 22 kW AC charging. Glad to see they improved the efficiency and charging issues, although the efficiency is still 30% below Tesla. When I rented one, the road noise and ergonomics were horrible, Polestar still needs to redesign the interior and fix all the software issues. The center screen is very large but the UI wastes so much of the screen space with giant graphics that the screen could be half the size.
