I've driven dozens of new EVs and Polestar 2 is the best driving car in it's price range. Also great build quality and materials. It gets a lot of good reviews. Highly recommended. Happy owner for 8 months now. Great car in winter conditions too.

I LOVE the driving position The center console that works as a right arm rest to keep my hands on the steering wheel 9 and 3 Very easy to use the infotainment Comfortable Safe Amazingly responsive 360 camera and BLIS = no blindspots So I went with it

I test drove the Model 3 and the Polestar 2 Performance. Both really good cars, with their pros and cons. To me, the Model 3 is a great car for the masses, especially if you have a long commute. But the P2 is a driver's car, I feel a soul and a thrill of driving. I bought the Polestar and absolutely love it. I'm also the type of person that doesn't want what everyone else has and Tesla's are as common as Camry's around here. People should test drive both and decide what is best for them.

Driven few Evs, Polestar has to be the most accurate at telling how many miles is left on battery and uses very little charge when driving. I remember driving p2 from central London to Heathrow `t2 and used 2% ! I really don’t like back seats and windows. And internal materials should have been better quality. Central console is so unnecessarily large

It’s even more efficient now. It needs more space in there but that’s what happens when it’s not on a new electric platform.

Test drove the long range single motor 25 on 19 inch wheels and the ride was great. This is not a Tesla which in many ways is a good thing. Instrument cluster. Yes please. Volvo safety systems, terrific. Must have driven way too defensively because the range was higher after the 60 km test drive than before it. 😂

Good review. Just to point out that some of the features you mentioned come as part of the optional Plus package.

I rented this car as I turned in my Tesla model x as it was a lemon and waiting on my check and wanted to like this car but it doesn’t compare at all to a Tesla. The operating system is horrible. Also, you have to actually physically turn the car off when you leave and it’s very deep in the operating system and you have to push two different buttons to actually turn the car off. That is ridiculous. The phone app is bad too. Slow response and doesn’t have walk away lock so if you don’t want to use the key fob, you have to open the app up once again lock the car manually with the app. Charging is super slow using CCS most stations didn’t even work. Car is wicked slow not sure what the 0 to 60 times are if I was gonna guess I would say over six seconds. No comparison to my X which is over 600 HP and 0-60 in 3.8 seconds. Interior didn’t make sense only one cup holder usable cause if you open center console as in this video you then can’t use the arm rest. Ride was rough too. No air ride also cruise control from the 1980s not smart. Didn’t even keep the car centered in the lane and would not slow down when the car in front of you slowed down very 1980s. I guess I’ll be ordering another model X. Just for the software ease and charging ease There really isn’t any other choice but Tesla. Also the efficiency was bad too. I took a 40 mile road trip started with a 250 mile range and when I got home, my range was 170 miles. I never drove over 70 miles an hour the watts per miles were just horrible.

Compared to a model 3 equivalent , heavier, slower, worse economy, bad cabin ergonomics, less usable storage space, poor software, no access to the Tesla Supercharger network, a large legacy transmission hump down the middle and much more expensive. No thanks.

Better built, faster around a corner (where it truly matters - beyond 0-60 there isn’t much real-world difference), much more premium (they offer Nappa leather in the Model 3/Y?), far more unique, better exterior design, will soon have access to the Supercharger network.

@@jayem8981 Polestar plus sides: I would also add/highlight much better driving dynamics especially during winter time. Proper suspension (not go kart) Seat is not super slippery when driving fast. Cabin ergonomics much better than in new stalkless Tesla Storage space much more usable because of big trunk hatch Software with better usability and big touch points Access to superchargers (in EU .... although there are much more cheaper chargers... so not that relevant)

@@mho0 Given you were still able to my list, it just shows how much the Tesla acolytes are able to look past to definitively claim the Tesla is “better”. Take the storage space one in particular - the OP really tried to say that a sedan has more “usable storage space” than a liftback/hatchback.
