I just googled the St George’s parade, London 2024. There was not one that did dent lead with violent clashes between the far right and the police. 6 people arrested. I also happened to watch a film clip, of the so called, violence by the “ George cross flag wearing, far right marchers” the only incident of violence that I could see, was when the grey police horse, in full riot gear, closely followed by a black one, launched an apparently unprovoked sortie, through the double thickness police cordon, from the rear into a tightly packed ( kettled? ) crowd. What the devil is going on here?? It really looked like a serious attempt to provoke violence between, an otherwise peaceful crowd, and the police.

I was there yesterday and can honestly say almost NO police were necessary. Perhaps twenty or so to make sure people didn't spill onto the road as there were so many of us. I saw the police helicopter hovering over the area as my train was pulling into Waterloo. Then the police minibuses lined up outside the station, filling up or already full of officers. Walking into Whitehall - what a ridiculous and unnecessary sight: dozens of minibuses signed "Territorial Support Group" and hundreds of police looking like stazi. The crowd were of all ages; families with their children, young couples and groups of friends, many pensioners and quite a few disabled attendees on crutches or in wheelchairs or mobility scooters. As I said - almost NO police were needed.
