Slamming on the brakes right after getting passed by a Charger, which is clearly being pursued by law enforcement considering the flashing blue lights flying up behind them, was exceedingly dumb. There was ample room and time for them to move left to the other lane or right onto the shoulder, yet they chose to hit the brakes and do absolutely nothing like an idiot. I am surprised the trooper didn't instinctively try to pass them on the right when it became clear they weren't moving over, but it seems like he anticipated them being cognizant of their surroundings and actually moving over to the left lane. It's always a trip watching these pursuit videos around Little Rock, traversing the same interstates and roads that I've traveled daily for decades now, especially when I can look at the date and time to see where I would've been during these particular chases. Criminals are using code grabbing scanners to duplicate key fobs. My Charger and Durango are pushing button start, no key. I had a coworker who’s Dodge pickup was stolen from DFW airport parking garage because of key fob scanning.
