@@jazzy4830 not in 5th Ed. Unarmed is 1+str mod damage. That is 1. Not 1 D-anything. And you do have to specify non-lethal, even for unarmed. Since Spiderman primarily, like 99% of the time, fights without weapons, monk is best bet for class. Most of his web attacks can count as ranged but he doesn't attack with webbing a lot because it's usually not very damaging. It's usually used for utility. So his damage is all based on unarmed really. So pretty much any class besides monk or something homebrew wouldn't make sense.
@jazzy48303 жыл бұрын
@@Sinsults I'm talking about pathfinder, specifically an archetype which is a clear homage to Spider-Man, all of what i said is correct in pathfinder. To make a spider-man style vigilante fight with unarmed attacks however, you would probably take the "fist of the avenger" talent, improved unarmed strike feat or Variant multiclass into monk for better unarmed damage. However neither 5E nor Pathfinder is currently well equipped to produce Spider-Man as a viable player character. I would more likely go for a monk or kineticist to represent his suite of abilities.

You forgot the move where spiderman upper cuts enemies and sends them almost 8 feet in the air. A punch with that much for behind it would not only cause brain damage, but will rip all your neck muscles like putty, shard your teeth, and completely disconnect your neck vertebrae in two halfs. The only thing keeping your head on would be if you had thicker than normal neck muscle. However all enemies have the average build of an adult man, so yeah spiderman can literally knock your damn head off.

Also something I like to do- I mean something Spider-man can do in the game is tie people with webs to throwable objects like those mailbox things in the street and then throw those things at a wall or at the floor at full speed. Seems pretty damaging.

This is what I love most about this game, the moderate amount of violence. Peter Parker doesn't hurt a butterfly, but Spiderman does, cuz he needs to. It is not like Spidey wants to kill anyone, but being a hero is extremelly dangerous and he can't be gentle with thugs

There's also the fact that the "safety web" doesn't seem to work like half... like 90% of the time. In fact it seems like the higher up you are the less likely it is to work, I guess it's not murder if you don't see them hit the ground?
