This is like one of those things where people watching have no clue what’s going on and just think it’s a button masher but all of us that have played the game for at least 20 hours know how insane this skill is. I don’t even know what’s happening in half these clips but I know it takes a lot of skill
@SPEXWISE3 жыл бұрын
I started Nioh thinking I could just mash my way through. How wrong I was. I nearly gave up on first boss, I think his name is Onyroku, he was on a ship and shackled to iron balls. I thought it was completely unfair and tried so so many times until eventually I got it. I then beat him without taking a single hit. I felt like a real ninja god. Then Hino Enma happened and I got frustrated until I decided that patience was a virtue. I must congratulate the devs for making something seem so impossible but with a bit of preparation and a tactical approach, it's possible to absolutely ruin the bosses with enough practice. It's one of the best games I've ever played because it tests me in so many ways.

I also have conflicting feelings about it, i feel like there is....too much jaja. But i'm glad that it exist in this state so people like Llama can get a lot of enjoyment out of it. For me i think it would be better if you level up faster and had less difficulties so you could get going with a build on like half of the first playtrough and then go from there. I also really don't like much the loot system itself but that's a personal opinion. I'll come back to Nioh 2 eventually and probably try to do a Itsumade build.

@@danielhertel5665 Huh.. I actually found Nioh and Nioh 2 to be much more forgiving than other , "Souls like games." No other game of this genre gives you the nearly as many offensive and defensive options, nor does it give you constant ability to replenish your stamina/ki if you know what you are doing. You have more control over your characters fighting speed and stamina in this game than in any other game of this kind of flavour at least in my opinion. Plus you get an option to use an amrita bank ,"silibar ignot", just incase you are feeling like you could loose control of things. You only get this after your first playthough but its still nice to have that insurance policy. One thing I will take time to complain about is the build making system in general. It was a total mess in Nioh 1, and its still a mess in Nioh 2. WAY too many bonuses for gear and not nearly enough explanation as to what stacks and what doesent. Some things will stack and it will be obvious. Other things wont and you will scratch your head as to why. You could look up some google sheets on this stuff but they are subject to errors as well. Combine that with the fact that everything is so damn RNG dependent and the whole thing just feels like a haphazard event. Making a descent build in this game feels like building a car by going to a local junk yard and scraping together whatever you can find. If I was directing this game, I would give at least some kind of item or scroll that gives you clues as to what stacks, or unlocks some ability for some bonuses to stack. I would also make it so you can use loot to give a specific bonus that you want on your gear. Instead of just constantly spamming the forge button and watching your money go down the drain then save scumming when you dont get what you want. Just my opinion.

My shit was so boring. It was so fucking lame being this slow ass dickhead with nothing going for me except a few moves that were cool, like the blood slash art. And then you get to this fucking guy doing flips off the arena firing getsuga tenshos at you from a mile away, leaping off pillars into combos and AoEs and being safe like all the goddamn time, and it just made me want to play Nioh instead. I don't even do sick combos in Nioh, but I know I could look up a tutorial and do a few decent ones relatively quickly. I could chain stances together with a dope finisher that uses more than 100% of my ki at that moment, while Elden Ring is the same old fucking "cast 6 buffs and then try not to die when the boss enters phase two and can fly" bullshit that Fromsoft has been making for ten years now.

this video is the reason why nioh 2 combat is no1 out of all souls games imo.Even tho it can be very difficult to learn the combat

I haven't played Nioh 2, but I understand that it's played like a Souls like... so it really shows your skill when you manage to make a Souls like to look like a Ninja Gaiden...

I just got into Nioh 2 after finishing the first game, I am probably oy 10 hours in and can already feel that it is sooo much better than the 1st. I didn't think that would be possible because the first was a wet dream for me, it was just so good. I'm glad that they added all of these yokai stuff it really helps flesh out the games combat, also to anyone that doesn't think that was pure skull they should get their eyes checked. Those combos were ridiculous to pull off, I can barely pull off some combos and I'm a Nioh Veteran that was amazing to watch
