I didn't get the tacoma's wire tap white plugs female and male accident had seen it was not turned correctly and stuck so you cut it off,? was it your error or the plug error? Could u prevent the issue ? or reset the wires the way in the video to fix the full issue? Next question possibly use the handle with a key to door unlock and lock to the tailgate handle or does it only work with FOB key unlock and lock? thanks,

@resolve638 the plug was my fault. The tailgate still works with the key or you can use the key remote.

Do you happen to know the e size of the fuses in the fuse harness by any chance ? Mine are 5amp and they keep getting blown.

I checked my Pop N Lock harness on my truck and it has 2 5amp fuses. If they are blowing something is connected incorrectly or something is shorting out. I would double check the wiring at the trucks kick panel wiring. The wiring at the kick panel is the only place that you actually had to connect into the truck. Also make sure the Pop N Lock harness did not get damaged or cut somewhere.

Awesome! You helped me, because the video from Pop & Lock has that plug in a different location. They must have changed it after 2021, or on higher level trims maybe? Mine is a TRD-Off Road that has LED light package and Advanced Technology package as well. I'm sure that adds wires and might change where things are a little.
