Cheap electromagnetic injector stimulator is a step-down transformer 12v ac 5 amp with one rectifier. It's called half wave . Will give 30 cps pulse output. It works.

Like your video. Never thought of lapping the inside of the tip. Never tried it but I heard that you can use tooth paste for tip cleaning also.

Thanks, great info on crappy video. Not that I am much better. I tried toothpaste few years ago, will try some polishing stuff. I want to increase my injector pressure also a little. And want to gey some chatter if possible. Thanks.

Great info, especially on the lapping of the tip. Do you think that type of injector can be set to 250 bars? Many thanks, Joe.

'Mer' as an injector cleaner. You learn something new everyday on KZbin! Some good quality nitrile gloves would do wonders in protecting your hands from future misery.

just get an ultrasonic cleaner I recommend the mineral detergent from emag, got my injectors nice and clean, all the holes are free now, checked it with a flashlight put em in storage tho cuz I installed larger nozzles for some more horses :D

Hi Sebastian, nice and so helpful video. But what if we have electric injectors? do I need to connect to the battery? Can you explain, please? Thank you

I can afford new nozzle(s), 'cos I only need one on a monocylinder Hatz E75 (on an ancient dumper), rope start. But I would like to know more on how they work. And specifically why a new nozzle I left lying around for a couple of years but have a sonic bath failed a test at the garage. I'm yet to find a close-up of the end of the pintle showing the holes. Someone here said he can test that they're clear by using a torch. I don't get it. I've got some wire-drills from 0.1mm up. I imagine the holes are much smaller than that. Thanks for great vido.

Remember that it's not a toy, must have protective clothing and gloves you could get gangrene, that's a lot of pressure

I tilted mine forward and kept pumping. Took a while. Some of them have bleed screws.

Nice video i learned a lot : ), can you tell me what adding shims to injectors does ? Does it make the fuel flow easier or what ? Thanks and have a nice day.
@ww07ff3 жыл бұрын
It increases the load on spring, increasing the injector pop pressure.

How do you set the black thumbwheel on the right of the tester? I have one of these which came without instructions and I can't figure it. If you tighten the thumbwheel up, you can't move the handle at all. If you slacken it off you can, but where are you sposed to slacken it off to? Is there a technique for this? cheers for your help
@1768ify9 ай бұрын
It seems that you can open the wheel a few turns, and then use it to add small bits of pressure by turning it closed.

Can you test injectors with the cable on the end on these pop testers? Bosch piezo etc.
@plumbteam6 жыл бұрын
Sadly not
@TheSubpremeState6 жыл бұрын
Sebastian Hibbert Damn. Is there some kind of voltage regulator thing that you can use along side this pop tester? Probably too expensive.
@TheSubpremeState6 жыл бұрын
I found this in the mean time. Theres a decent looking one for around $230 also. m.ebay.com/itm/CR508-Diesel-Common-Rail-Pressure-Tester-and-Simulator-For-Bosch-Denso-Tool-VBQ-/253414351948

It’s not just electrically - common rail injectors are running at 1700 bar not the 250 pop testers produce
@TheSubpremeState6 жыл бұрын
Sebastian Hibbert ah right. Shouldn't be too hard rig one up from a fuel pump and higher pressure gauge. Maybe
@napper14962 жыл бұрын
Why faff about with needles when you can just buy new nozzles. They’re not as expensive as you would think like 5 or 10yrs ago. Even new nozzles need set up though. But a tip to others….don’t buy one of these testers. If you don’t want holes burned in your pistons etc do yourselves a huge favour and go hand your injectors into a diesel specialist and get them to source nozzles and pop test and set them up professionally. There’s a lot more to it than just opening pressure. Most specialists will charge £20-25 per injector to set up. Well worth it trust me. I always take mines to diesel place in Cowdenbeath Scotland. Davie has 40 yrs experience and has the Bosch tester machine etc.

@johncollins83043 жыл бұрын
£40 off ebay? Maybe when you made the vido but now 100! To test and regulate (??) an injector, a shop wants 30€. You've said elsewhere you've not bothered messing about with shims when you've changed a nozzle. I've never even handled an injector, nozzle, pintle until recently, on an ancient monocylinder Hatz E75 on a dumper. But thinking about it, my tractor is diesel, my digger is diesel... Hmmm. Trouble with eBay is that there are no reviews, unlike Amazon.

Hi Sebastian. Here are is how my testing went. kzbin.info/www/bejne/nXmqZ5R3as-ffLs What do you think? Injector 2 looks pretty leaky. Is it worth trying to fix? Also, would the next step be to test it with my fuel pump? I'm guessing that would now give me a fairly good indication of whether my fuel pump is working or not?
