Thanks for the video? What did you spray it with at the end?

Pretty pretty hard to put that on a truck frame if you got it, submergent in it or any part that you normally use, you’re not gonna be able to submerge it in enough of that to make it work

What about something that is too large to submerge? Like a tabletop?

if you can keep it wet with the rust remover by brushing it on or staying, then yes you could do it. It is really designed for submersion. If you decide to try spraying it to keep a surface wet, always use safety equipment like goggles, nosh approved respirator, gloves and clothing to protect yourself. Also make sure to cover anything around what you're applying to. The Rust Remover is pretty safe and safely degrades, but you don't want to ingest it or get it in your eyes or lungs.

professionals pour with the bottle sideways to reduce the splashing.

is it safe to use on paint
@POR15videos9 ай бұрын
Safe on most paint. if there is rust that is coming through paint, it probably needs to be removed and repainted anyway.

Does baked on brake dust, reduce effectiveness/life of POR-15 rust remover? Will it remove bake on brake dust? I've been using one most "well know" reusable rust removes. Which claims, 1 gallon removes a pound of rust. I've found, it even removes baked on brake dust. Great right, No! As baked on brake dust, kills the effectiveness of the rust remove. Just 5 brake rotor bolts, with only the heads of bolt covered with brake on brake dust. Killing 1/2 pint of de-rusting solution in one 24 hour soaking at 68F or greater. This is after degreasing bolts, in a ultrasonic cleaner. How does POR-15 rust remove stand up to brake dust. As side note: It's my understanding brake dust is made up of mostly iron particles.

it will help break down the caked brake dust, but it is recommended to use the Cleaner Degreaser and agitate the caked on brake dust with a brush to remove as much as possible before soaking in the rust remover.

Thank you @@POR15videos for your reply. But, there is two questions above. The other is: Will POR rust remover be usable again for soaking additional brake parts? After soaking (until clean) just one or two rusty brake rotor/drum. That have baked on brake dust or will it be spent? BTW: I use degreasers, 3,000 PSI power washer, scape and wire brush where I can. Then soak brake parts at from 70F to 210F, in a rust remover (competitors) The remove parts while still hot and power wash and repeat as needed. Which it does remove all to bare metal. But solution becomes useless, very fast. So it's not cost effective for brake parts. I'm looking for cost effective brake parts cleaner.

Don’t you need to degrease it and let it dry first tho or does that not matter. I believe it was another of your vids that said that, but maybe it was an older one and the product has been revised…
@POR15videos Жыл бұрын
Only if it is fairly dirty and greasy. This one in the video was power washed earlier. It is less effective if the object is greasy and grimy

The product may be great but the video could have been a lot better with better planning.

$80 worth of rust remover be better to buy a new drum

He said it is reusable, so its cost goes down!

They don’t really say it here but if they would have just added water till it covered it, the rust would still be gone in a few days. Kind of dumb they don’t say this.

Hello, we do mention it in another video; However any dilution will dramatically effect performance and increase time to remove the rust.

You are using high quality water wow what does that mean? I didn’t realize it was different quality of water. You guys are pretty goofy.
