Great video Dr. Yesterday, I had a rough day. ( _I was running hot_ ) pushing myself too hard. I remember your words to calm down. I did 40 squats and run for 30 mins at the park. I ditched out away the hijacker with that night workout, then I took a cold shower. I'm+130 days on this journey and when *crap* hits the fan (like yesterday), that's when we need to apply all the things we have learn. I gave myself a pep talk, I applied what Ms Jamie told us on this last Q&A "go back to past successful experiences" I did that. The thing that brings me joy is *TODAY IM LIVING ON MY HIGHEST STREAK EVER*

These thoughts can be a call for stimulation or the need to destress. Our offensive plan will keep us stimulated through the natural dopamine producing activities we engage in. The defensive plan is a way to help us relax so we keep the hijacker away. Envisioning our future will release dopamine and give us a goal to work towards.

Tomorrow will be day 30 without P. No big deal with stopping watching P after ~18 years of daily use. Nofap for the first 23 days, then I MO two times, day 23 and yesterday night. Almost no more brain fog despite the two MO, but I'm dissapointed : it drained most of my drive to go talk to beautiful girls instantly. And it probably delays my PIED recovery. Thanks for your videos, verry instructive on the topic. Thanks a lot.

Some reason it seems to me that my intrusive thoughts are from catastrophizing. It's like my fight or flight responce causes me to think of crazy things that could happen because of my past porn addiction. I practice deep inhaling to get fresh oxygen to my brain and remind myself that the worry is causing my intrusive thoughts. Then I remind myself to make a habit to remember a good or funny memory to take my mind off negative thoughts. I write down all my good and funny memories as I remember them so I can look back on them all when I start to feel depressed or sad.

In my research on sex addiction and masturbation, I have come to a crossroad regarding porn thoughts, and indeed here we are entering the realm of neuro linguistics. It is shameful to masturbate over a virtual image of pornography and in my opinion, even if some might call it, guilt is not guilt but shame. But masturbation in it self as to be just a sign of loneliness, why one has to feel shame or guilt about it? Some say the most powerful force in the universe is Love, I can not agree more but without sex there would be no love. Possibly what I am trying to say, or better to understand is, why a child, (I know usually are all men), at the age of 1 year get sexually aroused? Dr. Trish please a video on this.
@lucianogiudice8569 Жыл бұрын
...just to carry on my previous post. Is it possible that men get addicted to dopamine without realise it, hence thought-out their life it become more difficult for them to distinguish the blessing of the other neurotransmitters released during intercourse with a lady, like oxytocin and serotonin..... A validation to this theory would be to test which neurotransmitter is released first in the brain, from a thought throughout erection sex and ejaculation. Please Dr. Trish any info? Love and Peace
