Porsche 928 fuel hose rupture

Scary - good you caught it before a Car-B-Que. I replaced mine last year with one of the fancy modern hoses from 928srus but had I known this hose existed I probably would've went this way.

Yes! Interestingly, this was a Porsche part numbered hose replaced about 10 years ago. I suspect the old inventory Porsche factory hoses may not be best suited for the fuel these days. Fresh hose line is the way to go. The Sidewinder molded hose made it easy to match the tight U bend. Saves molding your own.

Always good work. I dont know the porsche engine, but if there are more fuel hoses, maybe replace them all, Jaguar V12 fi engines have an issue with fuel hoses, that can cause serious engine fires.

Thanks! Yes, same with 928. I agree, replace them all with new production hoses rated for today's fuels.

There was a Porsche 928S4 recall regarding the fuel hoses not being ozone resistant like the previous models. My 1986 32v U hose is still original.
