Suddenly, my Laforza restoration (Ford 302 engine) doesn't seem so bad! Patience, my friend. Imagine how satisfying it will be to have this thing running! (and yes, the Postal Service is a cluster right now....)

This is a great upgrade as you point out. I also replaced my vibration damper with one from Greg Brown. The old one was all cracked and dried out. Also have you looked at Ken's performance chips? I would highly recommend them for the 85/86 model years. They really woke up my '85 5spd with an X-Pipe.

Roger is the best. USPS is awful right now. My clutch parts were to be delivered last Friday Dec.18. Tracking has stalled. Late delivery update everyday. I'm giving up on the Porsche tensioner in the future. Always are leaking from some point. I've installed many Porken tensioners on other 928 and always make this job a lot shorter. By the way, Porken is Ken Laurenson (spelling?) resides somewhere in the Northwest. Lately Roger has had a shortage of Porken Tensioners.

I'm about to renew my 1985 928S toothed belt, an operation I've done once before. However, I've never been sure of the stacking of the Belleville washers which go inside the tensioner cylinder. Presumably the convex side is out at both ends, but how many times should the washers changer direction in the stack? If you know, please comment, Thanks.

Unfortunately, your question is one of the key reasons why I ended up upgrading to the Porken Tensioner as it eliminates the washers and its oil-filled housing.
