I know, right?! I bump my head and fall dead to the bed EVERY single time I hear the awkward pauses in the conversation, lmao! Ahh…thank God for the replay button, haha. I can't believe that Carrie and Fred sat down and wrote this song together for this scene. Timing is everything in grad school. You don't want to jump into it too early, because the days of lazy college life are still fresh in your mind. You have to work for a few years, and only when you realize that work sucks and is unrewarding, then it is the right time to retire back into college. Just don't choose a major where you have to spend tons of time kissing the asses of tenured professors because that sucks. An MBA is easy and lets you avoid a lot of the thesis bullshit.

This is the most subtle comedy ever made. I'm genuinely curious if anyone can come up with something more understated and still hilarious. It's so brilliant because you're basically laughing the entire time but it's just like this silent, ironic smile under the surface that keeps bubbling over into hilarity. It's continually funny from start to finish even when nothing is happening. I have such great memories watching this show with friends.

A childhood friend studied art in college and eventually got an MFA in painting. Then, she went to school for massage therapy. When I asked why she didn’t try and get a job with, say, an animation studio, she said it didn’t interest her. Then, she took a pottery class. Started selling it. A few months ago, she started a class in jewelry making at a community college. Eventually, I predict, she’s going to marry Fred Arminson.

I don't make jewelry myself, but as a crocheter I can attest that most handicrafts in the US are highly undervalued. It's the Wal-mart culture--people buy cheap Chinese, Indian or Bangladesh jewelry or crafts and somehow think the same thing in the US made in the US should cost the same. It actually makes me mad to see crocheted items (which have to be done by hand--it can't be done by machine) for cheap at Target or something because I know how much work it takes and how little that worker gets

For me, the most genius moment of the show was when Carrie told J Mascis that he was ''Too loud'' - even though his guitar wasn't plugged - and threw him off the stage, and he stood far in the background playing to himself.. I had the honor of standing 3 meters from him and Dinosaur Jr. on a show here in Tel-Aviv - and the guitar wall of sound that he created was the loudest I've ever heard live!
@theDutton Жыл бұрын
His stack of amps is no joke, he has them all pointed at him on stage, must be so loud up there. That's my theory for why he's so quiet and soft-spoken, because he can't hear a word anyone is saying.
