I know many people hated the fact that the movie was directed by Mel Gibson and they saw it a bit racist but as a Mexican I had to say that the movie was great and he is a great actor/director

Some nice movies in Feb. I had to start doing my 'What I watched' as weekly. The monthly ones were getting sooo long. I really enjoyed Fractured. I recommend Bloody Hell on Shudder and Trial by Fire on Netflix. I'm a massive fan of the SAW franchise so I look forward to that video!

Oh yeah, Mirrors! I remember putting that movie on to play in the background while I would do things around the house. Then I would run into the room from wherever just to watch the bathroom scene lol Cheesy but fun. Glad you got to see it.

Definitely checking out Fractured - not the same of course but I think of the movie Coma when you mentioned this. Mirrors - you had me at abandoned dept. store. Love just about anything abandoned whether in fiction or real life. Synchronic - Anthony Mackie and Jamie Dornan- that’s it. That’s the comment. lol So yeah adding these to my list. Oh and doing a Saw watch/rewatch.

Gonna join you in the Saw marathon. I have only seen the first one and didn’t like it because I had hyped it so much in my head as a child so that when it was so tame I was disappointed. I think I have a better perspective now.

I was surprised at how much I loved Greyhound. I mean of course I love Tom Hanks and I was so sad for his character and the road that lies ahead for him. But mostly I just could not believe how they manually tracked, calculated and communicated all of the moving ships and torpedos just a few decades ago.

Sorry if you already covered this and I missed it, but I am DYING to know your thoughts/opinion on The Uninvited. It's classic cheese 2000s but has (IMHO) one of the best and coolest twist endings that I truly did not see coming at all.

Fractured is amazing in my opinion, I watched it with my partner last year and we were baffled ! I wish I could erase my memory to rewatch it !

I was never a Jeremy Renner fan either until I watched "Wind River". I think it's top 5 in the last 20 years. It's not horror but psychological drama that will keep your eyes glued to the screen. Give it a chance if you haven't seen it.

OMG, thank you for mentioning Wind River!!! Absolutely wonderful movie. And the subject it addresses, missing and murdered indigenous women, is so timely and so important. Yet instead of being preachy, it's a thrilling mystery. I'm not a big Jeremy Renner fan either, but he knocked it out of the park in this one. And Elizabeth Olsen was incredible!

I'm also a fan of Brad Anderson. If you've never seen his movie, "Stonehurst Asylum," you should definitely add it to your list. It's probably his best film, with an ending that's a knockout.

This is not really a horror movie. It's a mystery/drama, but I feel like this could be a psychological horror movie, and that is Agnes of God. It's a movie from the 80s featuring Jane Fonda, Anne Bancroft, and Meg Tilly, and it's based on a play of the same name. It's super dark and intense, but an incredible film I've never seen before until today. There's a disturbing hypnosis scene that is supposed to explain what happened to the nun Agnes, and... wow... I mean, Meg should've gotten an Oscar just for that scene alone 😳.

Recommendations for March: Antebellum if you haven't seen it. Definitely worth a watch. And The Nightmare, a horror-documentary about sleep paralysis.

I couldn't help but notice your Uzumaki manga by Junji Ito. I strongly recommend you BLAME! by Tsutomu Nihei. Amazing sci-fi horror action manga.

I agree on Fractured. Everyone around me hated it but I thought it was a tight little psychological thriller. Not brilliant, but not everything needs to be. I love Mirrors. Gonna seek out Synchronic. Also I definitely don't mind hearing about non-horror movies and opinions on those as well. Would be handy though to have the entire list onscreen 'just as Emma does' though for easy reference (then again I could also get paper & pencil 🤔) I really do enjoy these videos. 👍

I just paused your video to go watch Fractured and I think people may not have liked it because it's a pretty predictable horror concept that has been done better by other movies. I loved the casting for his wife and child but the protagonist was so unlikeable throughout. On the other hand, I completely agree with your liking of Saint Maud so I'll always check out films that you recommend watching!

"Mirrors" is kind of a remake of a korean movie "Into the mirror" from 2003. You should also check that out. I think they both have something on their own.
