Heated seats. Also hinged dash that can cover the windshield and improve the efficiency of those panels.

The battery and solar cell technology you speak of might be something Aptera would consider in the next 2-3 years, however they have announced no such plan to use these products in their launch or near future. If you are not "in the know" why would you make these false statements? Your title is ok, but the body is misleading.

Couldn’t agree more, and that’s coming from an Aptera investor. Is that an AI voice over!? Big fat 👎 from me.

Yup, as soon as I figured out that this channel was blowing smoke, I stopped watching. No reason to be fed such a bunch of malarkey.

Yes, another Aptera investor here. I sometimes get the feeling I am being strung along.

I'm going to add a e-Rex range extender that is dedicated to keeping the batteries at a charge level that increases the life of the batteries. This is needed for those of us who live in condos or apartments and park inside where we have no sun and no charging. It can automatically keep our batteries at optimum charge without having to wait in line at public charging stations. and give us the same unlimited range as gas-powered cars. The e-Rex weighs 35 kilos, is vibrationless, and can use diesel, gasoline, or LPG. It will allow me to use the smallest battery pack to keep the car lighter and more efficient than using heavier batteries to achieve long range. For all short trips, the e-Rex won't be needed but you can forget about range anxiety or even battery chage level as the e-Rex is an automatic battery charger. Set it and forget it.

If Aptera can develop its battery and solar cell technology in a cost effective and efficient way for powering electricity (specifically lighting, small appliances, and air conditioning) in a tiny home, cargo trailer, or box truck conversion etc., that will add to its overall growth potential, sustainability, and profitability

Aptera is NOT using "tandem" solar cells.

At least the Aptera motorcycle has to exist, before it can be upgraded.😄😄😄

The solar cells Aptera is using aren't "cutting edge". In one form or another, they've existed since 2003 or so....

I've heard over 24% efficient from Maxeon Gen 3 cells, that's near the top for off the shelf cells isn't it? Think they're perovskite type, that's recent also. What cells would you use?
@johnreeves7261Ай бұрын
@@ronfarnsworth7074 Yup and the Maxeon Gen 7 are even more efficient but the Maxeon IBC (Interdigitated Back Contact) are not "Perovskite type". I would still use Maxeon Gen 7 but seriously get moving on development around alternatives such as Perovskite - Silicon tandems.

You really downplayed the switch from IWM's, which for years they claimed were more efficient than a motor in the nose. It's now less efficient and you are deceiving people.
@danielthompson3928Ай бұрын
Are you sure it impacts their launch vehicle? The loss in efficiency is probably more significant for the all-wheel drive version which should have more power. So likely the AWD version will not get the expected miles but they are not shipping that one any time soon and might figure out the IWM by then.
@danielthompson3928Ай бұрын
Plus, tech might advance in the mean-time. I do not think they are doing anything that other companies do not already do. As long as it is not as bad as the Cyber truck which completely missed the mark and people seem to have forgiven anyway.

@@danielthompson3928 "Are you sure it impacts their launch vehicle?" Dead certain. The total number of changes makes the LE vastly different from what they advertised, and now they have already marketed on false pretenses. "The loss in efficiency is probably more significant for the all-wheel drive version which should have more power." The AWD version is lost - can't get more significant than that. However, since any Aptera is vaporware it's hard to lose something from nothing. "So likely the AWD version will not get the expected miles but they are not shipping that one any time soon and might figure out the IWM by then." They aren't shipping anything any time soon. Don't believe their lies. Tomorrow is when they promised the PI.2 they can drive. Brace for disappointment once again. "Plus, tech might advance in the mean-time." They have the EMR4 motor and Aptera buys the lower-tech EMR3; They have heat pumps and Aptera uses the lower-tech radiant heater. What makes you think that Aptera will use new tech if it comes along? History shows they won't. "I do not think they are doing anything that other companies do not already do." Others make and sell - Aptera doesn't. "As long as it is not as bad as the Cyber truck which completely missed the mark and people seem to have forgiven anyway." No point in making comparisons with anything - Aptera fails on its own merits.
