Hey man. Just wondering why it was actually cutting out? Would the coin have been causing strain/overheating or something? if so does the dc04 have a overheating cutoff? I have a dc04 that cuts off after about 10 minutes of cleaning. Ive pulled it pretty well apart today, replaced the filters checked all the air ways and cant see anything obviously causing overheating. also the motor is not burnt out. BTW im a electronics tech of sorts so kinda know what im looking at. Parts are expensive here in New Zealand and Id really like to keep my dc04 alive so any help/thoughts would be super welcome.

Hiya. My DC 07 just cut out no elec at all to it 😕 motor feels warm, & b4 for it cut out suction wasn't good in hose but checked all and it was prior all cleaned. Do you think it's broken 😔

To unclog one of those, I simply get a broomstick and insert the stick bit in the wand, which usually pushes the blockage out.

Hi, I have the clutch-less version in grey and lime. It sounds fine pushing the cleaner forward but makes a loud noise puling it back any ideas as where to start looking for the problem. Always love your videos by the way. Always something interesting to watch.

Hi! There can't be much wrong with it hopefully, belt and brushroll bearings spinning nicely? Or is it an airflow type sound?

Hi Sam. You mentioned glueing up the broken canister handle. We have one of these, and I wonder if you would share how you go about fixing a cracked handle on the DC04? Maybe another video?
@beko19875 жыл бұрын
If its just a small crack starting out, get some Q bond from ebay and drip a bit over the crack, it finds its way inside. If it's fully snapped off though, then it's time for a new cyclone handle

Hey beko. I have been seeing this person on my street throwing out dysons. He had 1 he did a test with it and he said it was broken. I said to him u test it out and then he did. As soon he turned it on its was running great. He said he spill a mess and he said it wouldn’t pick it up it would go over the head of the vacuum. It’s so bad the dyson and then I said dysons weren’t really designed to be used for test messes they were designed for cleaning up dust

@beko19872 жыл бұрын
No, the carbon brushes wear down over time. I'd change it so you don't choke the motor but it's not dead until it goes 😅

Hey you, I stopped my Dyson Dco4 from stinking. By changing the post motor filter with a black but not smelly. I turned it on however it did it. Also I replaced the motor because it was the main problem

How do you get to the air filter
@beko1987 Жыл бұрын
The Pre is under the top cyclone handle, take the bin off and push the button at the front of the handle and it hinges up. Post sits under the Grille below the bin, there's 2 tabs on one side you can twist a coin in to open. Make sure the notches line up when you put it back or the bin will go on but jam solid 😂

Hi Sam whenever I test the suction on my clutched dc14 it make a horn noise
@beko19874 жыл бұрын
That's possibly the release valve opening, which is supposed to happen! It's all the suction suddenly coming from a small hole at the back of the cyclone
@2009danial4 жыл бұрын
Right no wonder because I checked it and it’s super wobbly. Probably a new spare valve will do?
@beko19874 жыл бұрын
@@2009danial shouldn't do, their simple things! Undo it from underneath (mind the spring doesn't fly out, keep a finger on the black bracket as you remove the screws). Stretch out the spring a bit and refit and see if it's any better? (or stick a bit of tape over the hole but be minded if it blocks up it'll kill itself in short order if you leave it running with no relief valve!)
