This might be TMI but my period has always been heavy and my cramps were bad and had to get on birth control to help but I have been taking a break from it! Thank you for documenting your Endo journey so thoroughly! I’ll be discussing a laparoscopy with my doctor next week, and checking out Nancy’s Nook to find a specialist. I’m so glad you’re feeling better already! With the infertility, we have already struggled with that so I would say to try for a baby as soon as you’re ready because you really do have the best shot now :)

i feel like im not alone ur story is exactly similar to mine! i had my period since i was 13 (very painful and long heavy days) had a right ovary cyst 7 Cm thankfully wasnt cancerous and was on birth control here n there now im 19 and having really severe pelvic pain as well as every symptom of endometriosis but my doctor said they will finally see whats going on this Tuesday im scared and happy at the same time flr getting answers! TYSMMM WE ALL WOMEN ARE NOT ALONE WITH THIS

Ms. Lauren, I always had bad acne as a teen. I would pop it in the middle of class, cry and go to the restroom. I went to a dermatologist I did not like. Ironically, I'm going to a much better dermatologist now for feet psoriasis. I also see a podiatrist every 3-4 months to trim my toenails (I can't reach them). I'm on birth control for hormones and to regulate my cycle. I can't imagine endometriosis.

There are apps on your phone for tracking your period. I always forget. But I am on birth control, so that's how I know. Been on since like 2010 when I moved in here. One time a few years ago I was in the psych unit, and they wouldn't let me take my birth control. Took me a while to get back on track.

Did you ever get UTI pain with endometriosis? I've had recurring UTI symptoms for about a year now, but I have gotten my urine tested so many times and it always comes back negative for UTI related bacteria. Despite these negative test results, I've been given 3-month doses of antibiotics twice and it does not help. I've had ultra sounds done too but no cysts showed up. I have also had STI tests done but also negative. The pain is horrible and I feel like my urologist is not communicating with me well. I've been taking AZO for about a month and a half now to deal with the pain because I feel scared and frustrated with my doctor. I am wondering if I should get checked out for endometriosis.
