5 months postpartum mom here! 🙋♀️ I started the massive shedding at 3 months after delivery. It was pretty bad a month ago ,it was so much hair, it was absolutely ridiculous ridiculous. I feel like it is getting better now. Hang in there mommas , this is temporary! My tip: care for your hair and wear it braided or pleaded day and night. It helps keeping your environment more sanitary and protects your remaining strands from breakage

This was so comprehensive, easy to understand, encouraging, and helpful!! Thank you!! Shared it with my other recently postpartum mom friends. Just had my fourth baby 6 weeks ago and my hair loss started about three weeks ago 😳 thankfully, I am more emotionally stable this time so it is not as seemingly detrimental. I had been expecting the hair loss and watch this video a week or so after giving birth to get ahead of it and start anything that could be helpful asap, so I feel I was even prepared for my extra early start to my hair loss this time around! The first time I was tested I was not anemic, but the second time I was tested for anemia during pregnancy, it came up positive. I started taking a chewable iron plus vitamin C supplement at that time and have continued it, which I believe will shorten my hair loss phase 🤞🏻 as it continue to rebuild my ferritin levels.

Just had my fourth girl a month ago today. All other pregnancies my hair always falls off postpartum . The difference this time around is that I am continuing my prenatal vitamins, stocked up on 3 extra post partum bottles. I am thrilled that it is working. 😊

I lost a lot of hair postpartum. But it gradually stopped shedding and got fuller and thicker eventually without me doing anything. So hang in there all new moms. There is light at the end of the tunnel. Thank you Dr Dray for another informative video. Wish I had these back when I had my kids.

I had absolutely no hair loss during pregnancy or after I had my baby. I did take vitamins for pregnant women though. Doctor told me to conintue taken them at least another 3 month after the baby was born. Maybe thats why I had no problem. I even had better looking hair than before I got pregnant.

Hi, I have two questions! 1. Does the dose of biotin in a multivitamin affect blood tests? 2. If you use topic monoxidyl when the hair starts falling and then stop after some time won’t it start falling again, so basically you’ve just delayed the shedding?

With my first two pregnancies I did not have this problem. With my last pregnancy 6 years ago I had this bad. Came out in handfuls I. The shower. I cut it short. My hair has not been the same again. It was thick and wavy and it’s now half as thick. It’s notable in photos. I also became gluten intolerant after my their child too, so I don’t know what it was about my last pregnancy but it changed my body. I am otherwise pretty healthy. My weight is back to pre-pregnancy and I eat a clean gluten free diet.

Hi Jackie! Happy Thursday!! I hope you had a fabulous day! It was very chilly here today with temperatures in the mid 50's and windy. My day was busy as always. One of our patients today was a sweet 17 year old kitty named Percy. He was an orange tabby. We also had a kitty named Brown. He was solid gray. Lol! Apparently the husband named him. Well, it's the perfect cozy evening for tea. I hope you can join me, my dear sweet friend. I've turned on the electric blanket and the kitties have piled on and are waiting for their cuddles. I hope you are doing well and your not having bad weather. Have a nice evening and have sweet dreams. Peace, joy and many blessings to you always. 💞🕊💞🙏💞☕☕🐈🐈💞🍰🌿🐾🐾💞

I was prepared for thinning/shedding..but now have a bald spot about the size of a quarter right on top of my head! 😩 I was not prepared for that..I know it’s some form of alopecia but was it triggered by delivery and postpartum stress? I hope it comes back even if it takes awhile 😭 when you hear alopecia , it’s definitely frightening that it’ll spread and never come back 🥺

Doc, I have just turned 27 and really wanted to try this snail mucin serum but I have noticed that one of the benefits of this serum is anti aging. I am under the impression that I should be only start using the anti aging products after 30’s. I am curious if I can use this product or not considering the fact that my skin is an acne prone and have significant open pores and hyperpigmented. Please advise

Who says you can’t use anti aging products?? Sunscreen and a retinol are anti aging! Now snail mucin is t really anti aging. It’s moisturizing and people love it but it did break me out. Everyone is different though. You’ll just have to try.

Hi! I was just watching ur video on eyebrow hair loss! My left eyebrow does look exactly like yours and u me and my twin are the only people I’ve seen have it! My left eyebrow is missing hair, but my other isn’t, My eyebrow has looked like this since the day I was born and I’m 12 years old this is 2024, I was wondering if u could tell me what it is or tell me how to fix it! There is a lot of random places on my body that doesn’t grow hair!

When I got my eyebrows waxed the woman said “eyebrows are sisters not twins”. The 2 never look exactly the same. My left eyebrow has less hairs too! Don’t worry about it. It’s natural and normal. No need to do anything.

When there is treatment everything is possible. Time is needed for every treatment to work so patience is a must difficult but necessary 😊❤. Thanks Doctor Andrea for informing us.
I followed Suzanne Somers through the 2000's. She was instrumental in my decision to use bio-identical hormones when there was some biased research circulating. That plus following her eating plan (Basic Food Combining Diet, leaning more to Low Carb) from her earliest cookbooks had me breeze thru menopause. Before KZbin, we had HSN! And I bought a LOT!
