New-ish Link Melee tech, pioneered by Savestate the Link main. Same guy who went almost dead even against Armada's peach and he has the world record speed run on both Link target test and 100% Ocarina of Time speed run. Dude is a legend; look him up~

@@bigtoblerone8446 He's not just referring to the tech; he means knowing the trajectory so well that he pulls out an aerial to take a stock. There simply aren't many people that are gonna spend that much time in the lab with a bad character. The sad truth is you still need to be a very, VERY good Melee player to get anywhere with Link. Most of Aklo's success stems from the fact he's so good in neutral, he can counteract how bad Link is in neutral against the top tiers like spacies and Marth. He does the same with Young Link. Check out his sets against BBB. If Mango decided one day he was gonna drop everything and main Link, he'd beat a lot of people, but he'd be lucky to even get top 8 in a major.

It pains me that other people don't know that these tricks weren't invented by aklo. BUT he does perform them all very well and gives link some representation and respect he deserves. Keep kicking ass aklo

Fun Fact: The commentary at 3:21 is explained by realizing you can grab bomb with Z. Aklo was attempting to simply throw the bomb from below the platform, and then jump up and grab the bomb with Z, but he misspaced himself, accidentally shooting hookshot which is also used by pressing Z midair.

Sixx's game revolves around making good reads. Aklo's tech is way better. Sixx himself admits he's not consistent with wavedashing. Link's wavedash sucks, but you should still try to waveland to utilize platforms better.

GREEN TEAM win It seems like Fox players make the best mid/low tier mains. There is/was a really great Fox and Ness player called Metalfox. I also saw a high/top level Fox player go Ness in an easy tournament at a convention and it was amazing (I feel like they had a K in their name). Leffen had probably the best Mewtwo. Mang0 had the best Mario. And Aklo has a great Link (not sure if the best, but great use of niche techniques).
