@@bogyomentol6331 if you make a small heart or a big one, it does make a difference, the bigger the heart the more milk you take in your sip, ergo it tastes sweeter. Interesting video. Seems you have been dealt a bad hand with your bar. You should be moving dry to wet but you're having to go back and forth. Also there is no scales to weigh the grind. And worst you're having to tamp by hand instead of having an electric tamping machine to ensure consistency.

I started like 2 days ago as a trainee barista, and I cant fathom how fast you work! The downside in the coffee shop i am working we have to add the sugar and mix the espresso shots ourselves and plus we make more freddo coffees than hot! Any tips?
@jaegerarthur6718 Жыл бұрын
Prep as much as you can in advance, you can make a sugar syrup to make it easier and faster to put in the cup/mix with the espresso. Same thing with chocolate (make a syrup), chai (prepare a bottle in advance). Seconds saved on one coffee makes up for 30 min saved at the end of the day.
@SipHappens Жыл бұрын
Yes, I agree with @jaegerarthur6718 Try to prep as much as you can. I personally don’t agree with adding sugar in my drinks as I prepare them, better to offer it on the side and let the customer decide the amount they want

Hello from New Zealand, have been barista myself for 8 years total and your processes are immaculate. I have a question for you, why do you have the drawer to open and knock spent coffee pucks into, instead of something more freely/easily accessible?. I have never seen it before.
@SipHappens Жыл бұрын
Hi there! I’m always fascinated to see that people all over the world are watching my videos! Thank you so much. The reason why I have that drawer is because originally this coffee shop wasn’t designed for such a big flow of orders… so in the beginning that drawer was enough for a full day of spent coffee pucks… you can’t really see in the video but the bar or rather the coffee part of the bar is quite small… so I don’t have any more space for something else :) ideally the bar should be remade end extended to the right of the espresso machine, that would create enough space and a better working environment:) Thanks for your comment!

@axloctave4751 Жыл бұрын
and how much ML you use when steaming and latte art ? thx!
@PotatoMagnet Жыл бұрын
The shape and the material of the milk jug allows for you to identify how hot the milk gets, if it gets too hot to touch, that’s when you know the milk is frothed, and is ready to pour. The shape of the end of the jug allows to create latte art.
Drop coffee in Stockholm ? 😁 It’s very helpful to watch you, especially as I’m still learning to transfer milk and I find it hard for some reason. Thanks for sharing!

Now, I have watched different videos, but I have never seen anyone using the port filter used for single shots. Why does everyone use the port filter used for double shots? Doesn't this mean double shots in latte? Where I work, they use different port filters for latte and flat white. Do you know the reason
@Rogkas92 Жыл бұрын
Actually, at proffesional coffe shops and 4-5 star hotels is almost always used port filter for double shots.That doesn't mean you get double shots into the cup every time.Depending on the wanted order, you can produce 2 single shots into 2 different 90 ml cups or a doucle shot into 180 ml cup and 240 ml cup.

There was no time for latte art at all so to me this is not busy to require 2 baristas working, or at least not to the company I was working for 😂 I am glad I am a software engineer now so I can make my own coffee in the best way possible and with all the cool latte art I learned, keep up the good work mate 👊🏽

Latte art represents the care the barista has put into the beverage. Not just the pretty picture on top but it's a promise that all the necessary steps have been taken at every stage to ensure a fantastic cup of coffee. It's a stamp of approval.
