A good method to get rid of dust around buttons is using a air compressor along with a spray gun with a small tip. It blows just enough air to clean around those buttons. Been doing it for years.

Bought a 2004 SR5 4 runner back in 2017, spent an entire weekend cleaning interior and exterior, still driving as my daily, have to admit I did an amazing job and so did you my friend. Enjoy your 4 Runner

I like using the 1 inch wide foam craft paint brushes for getting inside the air vents and nooks and crannies, I just buy them at Walmart in the craft section, a little elbow grease goes along way, great video Jimmy 😁👍

If you want to keep the OEM look of the interior of the car I would recommend getting a FM transmitter, Cassette to aux for either wire or Bluetooth. I hope this helps!

Wow! I don’t know why it never occurred to me to just use warm water and a microfiber towel. I’ll do this weekly to keep up with my 4Runner.

What I did to clean the interior of the 2000 Camry LE that my late cousin gave me it was his father's Camry. Unfortunately they were cigar smokers. I bought at Walmart microfiber wash clothes not meant to clean cars with but that's what I bought them for. I had an idea so I bought 2 2 gallon buckets. I filled the 2 buckets with hot water. On the vinyl parts of the Camry I washed the vinyl just from the front sits to the dashboard it turned the water in the buckets coffee brown. After it was cleaned it was like stepping into a new Camry. I do have Meguiar's Ultimate Interior cleaner. I haven't used it yet but plan too. What a difference hot water can make.

We need to clean more aggressively to remove dirt just with water and damage interior instead. Isn't it better to use interior cleaner and go gentle in rubbing/scrubbing/cleaning?

Hello Jimmy. I enjoy watching your channel, caring/improving on old iron is key. One thing I especially enjoyed today was you and your wife cleaning. It doesn't matter how many times you try and explain how, the wife told you to stay in your own lane, she's got this. The only thing we can do when that happens is smile. It is hard to do but it avoids what could be trouble brewing. In the end it turned out very nice. We have a 4Runner, Toyota did well with them, just like the FJ's. Thank you again for the quality content. I could definitely use that steamer, it worked wonders!

Love the great videos as always! I would advise against using magic erasers on your interior. They’re simply far too aggressive. They work similarly to sandpaper and they abrade the surface. This is the main reason why they clean so well, but they also abrade the factory protection on your interior, wearing through and down to the dye/base coat. The color your saw on the magic eraser was a combination of the grease/gunk as you mentioned (good thing), but also a bit of the dye (bad thing). Now your interior is less protected and will get dirtier more easily and be harder to clean. I’d suggest using a solid interior protectant on your interior surfaces like 303 aerospace (except don’t use on the wheel, you don’t want to add any slickness to that of course). This should help add back some protection and make future cleanings easier. If you want/need something stronger to scrub your interior, I’d suggest a detail factory curveball brush with some all purpose cleaner (I like optimum no rinse, but very very diluted simple green is fine as I know you like/have that already). Spray a bit onto the panel, and directly into the brush and lather it up and remove with a microfiber towel. Follow with protectant of choice (303 aerospace is my preference).

Great job Jimmy. Personally, I like using chemicals to clean my car. I have too many not to use them.
@westcoastronnieOC7144 ай бұрын
I've always found that using 30% vinegar to clean your headliner works every time. A little bit of elbow grease and a soft bristle brush works well. If you have light cleaning you could just use a little bit of vinegar spray it on a microfiber cloth and scrub away any spot dirt. Make sure if you do use it buy a chemical spray bottle and spray your headliner and within a half a day to a day the smell will go away. Leaves your headliner clean and will not damage it. Also good for carpet too. You can buy 30% vinegar in a gallon jug at home Depot or Lowe's. I use it full strength non-diluted.

So not sure if you know or not but Magic Erasers are actually an abrasive pad very fine but it does provide an abrasive effect; thats what cleans is because it breaks it down like when you ultrafine sand paper something. Just have to be very careful what you use magic erasers on.

I was a distributor of car wash and detail products years ago. The best thing they could've invented for the car wash business is the steam cleaner. It makes your life so much easier than using chemicals alone. You and your wife both did a fantastic job cleaning it. Nice work guys!! 💪🔥 Ps- Now you can start on my car. 😜
