I like how you previously described this: "To turn, you're weight needs to be be on the ball of your foot. And when your weight is on the ball of your foot you WILL turn." I think that's close to what you said...

I am playing with a line-up that seems to have some advantages. Left foot on centerline. Problem with stradling centerline is your first step is about 285-300 degrees. Calling the centerline 000, the right foot moves to centerline from 155 to 305 axis, hopefulle stopping on the centerline. If a thrower gets aggressive they often end up with their right foot landing close to the front of the circle and left of centerline (in the bucket). lining up on the centerline means less rotation in the first step and the attack is more along the throwing axis.

Question.. do you recommend a certain brand for shot puts? I have some throwers who would prefer smaller in diameter.

I’d recommend a turned iron. They come in smaller sizes and are cheaper than turned steel or stainless steel. MF Athletic has a great selection but so does other places. Amazon has turned iron from crown sporting goods that are low/decent quality. Lots of options out there now.
