Start Actually Using Your Legs When You Throw! Shot Put and Discus Throw Coaching

The second most common correction that I make at track and field throwing camps is athletes picking up their feet before releasing the shot. Coaches will tell athletes to "use more legs" when they throw but that's impossible if their feet are no longer touching the ground. Here's how to keep your feet on the ground and actually produce power with your legs!

Fantastic! knowing the relationship between the shot releasing from the fingers, and the back foot! I have never seen a baseball player lift his back foot off the ground and hit consistent home runs.

Have you seen the technique (now banned) whereby the putter actually used the motion of a cartwheel in a similar way to the rotating putt technique? It's seems quite an interesting method which I could imagine would generate a fair amount of speed/power if done properly.
