I remember singing this in my Baptist church growing up. Love this hymn! Shows what Jesus had done for us through His sacrifice for us.

This is so very powerful because without the shedding of blood there is no remission of sin. Only the blood of Jesus Christ our Savior and Lord can cleanse us from our sins. I first heard this song around 1982, when I came to true repentance of my sins, I accepted Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior. I got baptized and then got filled with the Holy Spirit. I have never regretted my decision to give my life over to my Lord and God, Jesus Christ . This song has always held a special place in my heart because truly there is wonder working power in the precious blood of the Lamb of God, Jesus Christ! ❤️🙏🎶

Love this hymn! First introduced to it in Afrikaans through students keeping children busy at beaches and holiday resorts. They played games and preached the gospel of Christ. I gave my heart to Jesus when I was 10years old at one such camp at Hartenbos. It was called "dienswerkkampe" . Was introduced to the English version when I served the Lord with being part of such evangelistic camps as student. The refrain is so strong. This is one of the songs I sing when I do not feel strong. Thank you for your strong performance of the hymn, Luke.

I taught this hymn to my young niece whose parents had divorced and were not believers. She would sing very loudly. I gave her a teen study KJV bible. While at her mother's home, she called her dad who then drove his motorcycle over to deliver her KJV bible.

We sang this a lot when I was a child. Then the institutional (well known denominational) church I attended made hymn book changes. I am no longer institutionalized. I still love the song. I also thank my Savior for His cleansing and healing blood. Thank you for sharing.

I remember this from the old tent days, with metal folding chairs snd sawdust floors… and “all night singings” and “all night testimonies” and salvations!!! Kids asleep in asleep in the sawdust til parents took them and went home… no denomination contentions, just the love of Jesus in all.

It was very popular here in Australia in the early 1960s & we used to sing it all the time at youth events as well as in evening church services. I still sing it a lot to myself as it is a powerful song & a reminder of what the blood of Christ does for us. We used to have youth camps & family camps back then as well but since the 1980s camping died out as it became too expensive for families, plus times changed & people became to busy in their weekly lives, sadly!! would you be free from YOUR burden & sin... The song was personalized.

We used to sing this song at the Southern Baptist Church I started going to when I was 17.( had a lil southern pep to it). First time I've ever been to church and at age 21 I surrendered my life to Jesus because there is power in His blood 🙌

I still use this song whenever I’m tormented at night when I should be asleep. I speak out loud claiming Jesus’ blood over my life and satans defeat at the cross. Then I sing and turn this song on.

Absolutely : This was a very well sung practically all the time in every church I attended . It is such a victory song because it is so true. It was #10 in our song book. So we only had to say #10 and that was enough to get us going .

Camp meeting time is a glorious time. When many are worshipping God together. God's presence comes and settles down. Some start praising God for His Greatness! Such blessing to all. People testify about how God has brought us through the past year. God's forgiveness of our sins. To be called a child of God. In a service like this, the words came to the author. There is Power in the Blood! Praise His Holy Name!

We sang this at youth group meetings every Wednesday night when I was growing up. It was one of our favorite hymns. I am now 70 years old and it still remains one of my favorites 🙂🙏 I love the old hymns. The old hymns run through my mind and I sing them often. I am so glad I was of the generation that held a hymnal and sang these wonderful songs. PS I just found your channel a couple days ago, so glad I did. 😊

I rejoice there is repetitivness in this song. There's Power In the Blood, power in the blood, in the precious blood of the Lamb! His cleansing power and mercy to me in my sin stained life that is now washed away. And every morning as I get up to do service for my King I rejoice even more: For he that has done a good work in you/in me will see it through to completion! Man, that's the cleansing power in the blood of the Lamb! ❤

Churches that I have gone to all my life since being saved 1972 have had Retreats. A retreat is a spiritual getaway at a campground in the country away from "civilization" to focus for a time on spiritual things! They were designed for segments of the congregation. Youth, Men, Women, Couples, Staff, etc... They had a variety of formats depending on age, purpose, or spiritual maturity, mixing thought provoking spiritually themed meetings with fun activities, and free time for personal contemplation. I have intentionally not sought information on camp meetings because retreats might be something altogether different.

Thank you brother. I agree that both the old hymns and new songs can be good. So why don’t we sing both? I propose that we do what I call, out with the old and in with the new. We sing the new songs to begin the church service then we have the sermon. And lastly we sing the hymns to finish out the service. What do you think my friend?

I was almost falling asleep 2 nights ago, 1-2am. And needed to pray, so I started, very sleepy but vocalizing my words in a normal level of like a conversation. It got into a point that I said “by the blood of Lamb”. As soon as I said that a very loud noise came from the dining area, between the ceiling and the dinner table. It was so loud that I jumped within me and then I screamed the final word “of the Lamb”. I knew who made the noise. I knew the being was not happy I brought the blood of the Lamb in the atmosphere. The noise was lightning fast and strong and angry to scare me and to let me know that it meant business. I responded with a fiercer offense by praying longer and determine to do damage. I have a staff and with it I touch the areas where I applied the blood of the Lamb like in the door posts. I do a tour of the entire apartment applying the blood of the Lamb as in the manner of the hebrews in the Passover. I do spiritual war prayer occasionally and this was one of them. So, wards are powerful especially in prayer. What we bind and loose here in the earth God does it in heaven. Father, your Word says that I have the right and obligation to pray for the city where I live. So, I pray for this city that you come and bring your kingdom ti every heart to every human being… and the prayer goes on and on. The blood of the Lamb does damage to you know who… Praise to my Lord Jesus Christ for ever and ever!!
