I don't have solar. I ordered two F3800s with the home power panel. Can the unit be charged with the A/C inputs on the F3800s while connected to the home power panel? All videos show what it can do power wise, but not what to do if the power is out for 3-7 days after a hurricane. I would be charging them with propane generator.

Is the panel to be used as a transfer switch?

Yes it will beat a gas generator in many ways but I do use my little Honda to charge the f3800. Do not discount the gas generator, it will always have a purpose.
