Jeff, you are correct. The Ford assembly manuals are indispensible when restoring, and even maintaining, a classic ford.

Weirdly the hard tops and the fastbacks use the same pancake window mechanism

The assembly manuals are really helpful. The paper ones are great but pricey, but you can get them all on one disc for something like $20 - 40. I already had the hard copies for my 67 but ended up getting the disk so I didn't have to run to the garage all the time and also so I can easily print, enlarge, and highlight the diagrams for individual projects.

I would unplug the switch and jump between the terminals on the plug ,if the window moves it's the switch if not probably the motor.

Cool. So where can I get assembly manuals for my '73? Btw I had mentioned in the last episode about my dash lights not working except for the one on the temp gauge and one on the speedometer. Drove it to my class reunion last Friday, drove it home later that night, and all lights were working except for one on the speedo. And I haven't touched them. So the light connection must be acting up, as you mentioned,.... or my car is possessed. Anyway thanks for getting back on your Mach 1. I am watching. Closely. Lol!

We got ours from National Parts Depot years ago. As long as they have them in stock that's where I would get them from.

The lights on those cars are finicky because of the printed circuit board and the way the electrical attachment is on the bulb. My F-100 does the same thing. Hit a bump, and the turn signal light stops working hit another bump, and the turn signal light starts working.

I also have a 72 Mach 1 with power windows that don't work great and I was excited when I saw this video title. Gotta admit, I was a little disappointed when it was such an easy fix for you and you didn't have to dig any further LOL! On my car, the front windows always work but they move very slow and choppy. If I raise the engine RPM they speed up a bit so obviously this seems like some sort of voltage problem. Any suggestions?

If you're not getting 12 volts to the motors that's your biggest issue. The stuttering may indicate an issue that could be fixed with greasing the regulator arms.

Odd to put that relay all the way on the other side unless there are other systems connected to it.

Weirdly the courtesy light circuit runs to that relay

power windows in the 99-04 mustangs decide when they want to work and when they dont.
