I agree that this show needs some refinement and direction, but come on, people. It’s not as bad as you’re commenting. Really, take it for what it’s worth. These two are doing things that are “non-traditional” as the show’s ethos states. We, may not do ________, but they ARE! It really is OK. ANd, for me, here’s the kicker, this shows the somewhat unrefined items that are usually hidden by production fakery. Heck, even Diesel Brothers have come back and admitted that their build(s) were not the best, had a bunch of faults, and showed the complete redo of project that appeared to be top shelf, complete builds. These guys are decent dudes, working with production teams/producers, that are doing a lot of driving. I, personally, will continue to watch. Thank you #Powernation for the great, free programming. Please ignore the hate and continue to send these things out.

I am not surprised, since they did 4 layers of flat carbon weave with no structure. They also didn't even make it so it would fit properly. They should have made a mold from the original hood and then used that mold to make the new hood. The beauty of what they did though is that it should still fit back on top of the original hood. They can just slap it back on top of the original hood for bracing, since they really only care about looks anyway. Based on this episode, I'll be skipping this show in the future.

The Trailblazer was a very popular vehicle, I actually grew up near one the plants that they rolled out of and have one that is due for some rehabilitation. I was very juiced that it was going to be the subject of this build as I have been thinking of doing the SS model to mine. This would have been a better show if they had taken a stocker and transformed it into an SS model. Transmissions, rear ends, intake/exhaust of a LS all require mounts that vary from the 4.2 Six/auto. That would have been nice to know for a build of this sort. Also, for those of us who can't spend $4000.00 on a motor what could we do to the six that is already there? Mike and Pat have made some great performance rebuilds on straight sixes. A turbo application on a performance six could have matched this LS's output. 450-500 hp, straight six smoothness, and the whine of a straight six and turbo singing together. As for the show, I have been in video/music production and it is annoying when they guys are reading the script from monitors or cards. It doesn't allow them to share their expertise on the build or it masks their lack of it. I'll continue to watch, but to take a worn out vehicle and transform it into a toy doesn't have any practical use for a guy like me. Enough said.

I dont know how I feel about this build.. basically they ruined a very nice trailblazer ss but at the same time a drift is a badass idea they just done everything thing wrong except for the hand brake and swapping over to a manual transmission but they could have done better for less they could have got a basic built faceplated t56 from rpm decent clutch and possibly rebuild the rear end with Strange Engineering axles, spool, gear, yoke but to get drifting now throw a spool and a gear change and instead of putting a iron block 6.0 they should have bought a Rebuild kit and a 4" speedmaster crank and rods and some D.S.S pistons a rowdy BTR cam and springs ls7 lifters comp pushrods and a trunion upgrade and a decent set of L92 or LS3 rec port heads stock ls3 intake and of course some long tube headers with the biggest diameter y pipe possible and a single 4" exhaust with a nascar style boomtube exit just moved in a little towards the center of the car not alot just 3 or 4 inches and slightly angle it towards the ground just enough that it won't melt the trim. It's definitely gonna need to be lowerd swap it over to coilovers upper and lower control arms anti-roll bar and some more angle and one of the most important things no goofy ass graphics and some badass 18" wheels and some good rubber. Thats the only way to do a trailblazer ss drift build

Let’s do the same thing to another car! Tires engine? Why rebuild? Easier to buy a new one that “everyone can afford”? That’s an aluminum LS that’s not build often. Freshen the motor and a supercharger or turbo kit wold be an east 400-500hp. Manuel trans swap and weld the diff. Make this a build that most of us almost have the resources to do. Not strip it throw a bunch of new parts at it then see what happens. With new parts we all know what’s gunna happen

Really though, who does an engine swap and keeps a LS plastic truck intake? Why wouldn't yall swap to a LS1 intake manifold? That plastic intake looks terrible. It looks like popping the hood on my old 2012 Express 1500 with a stock 4.8.

I was interested in this series until the fast camera zooms and pans that reminded me of an annoying reality show. How about just doing the work instead of giving me a headache...
