Daniel King's rating is a good 500 points above almost all the other chess youtubers and his analysis shows the difference

What it really shows is it is not only his job, but a trully passionate hobby. You can feel the joy with which he presents the games. Number one chess analyst.

Agadmator chess network and kingscrusher are all rated around 2000....Daniel King if im not mistaken is around 2500 so thats where I got that from

@@subudjj9368 agadmator could be 2000ish, KingCrushrer is a CM and more like 2200. Plus there is ChessNetwork who's well over 2200, there is Simon Williams vel GingerGM, rated about 2450 (just like Daniel King) and you can even count Jan Gustafsson, who's over 2600. But yeah, Daniel's channel is the best anyway, no doubt.

The best part for me is that I feel like a better player after watching Daniel King's presentation, at least in terms of analyzing the promise of a position. Other youtubers is more like 'chess updates'

Ding showing his class again! This game might stand as the moment when Ding eclipses Caruana in the pursuit of Carlsen!

could be, but Ding's consistency is nowhere near Caruana's. Time and time again, top level chess always seems to boil down to consistency, rather than brilliance. Ding has some fantastic games under his belt, even including some very strong draws, but he never seems to consistently keep himself at the very top, similar to how Aronian will occasionally have a streak of very strong chess, brilliant games, even beating Magnus every once in a blue moon, but eventually he always will follow it up with uncharacteristically poor showings that bring him back down to earth, like where he is now. Ding is the same way, tho he never performs as poorly as Aronian is liable to on his way back down

GM King's fantastic analysis of the Qf1 move made my day! How can one not get glued to the class and depth with which Danny analyzes various lines. This commentary of yours is as good a masterclass as the game itself. Reminded me of your stunning Be6 analysis of the evergreen Kasparov-Topalov Wijk An Zee 1999 game. Thank you, for these wonderful stuff and in advance for many more to come.

Awesome end game by Ding! Usually the GMs have problems in converting their advantage into a win, because nowadays with all the software, they all have become masters of defending.

This was not an endgame. If you don't know such basics how can you possibly give an opinion on software use and defense? Sorry i had to call you out on that no harm intended.

In the past, agadmator had a far higher volume of uploads and a far bigger presence on social media (twitter, twitch, etc.). But Mr. King has caught on and has ramped up in those areas as well. Methinks he may have hired a KZbin channel consultant!

JS Recurser I feel this channel should get more exposure.. it's under appreciated..and also this game should get more sponsors, the grandmasters are underpaid for their achievements and the mental stress they endure.

@@BeFourCM I watch both, and while there is some common ground covered re: "current events" tournaments, Agadmator does a good job of "popularising" chess via, among other things, the sharing of event photography footage, and thus has his place. You can't really expect him, as someone who only this year attained his IM title and only began his channel in earnest in 2016/17, to ever compete in the depth of pure analysis with GM King who has commentated long enough to have covered the 1995 PCA WCC match between Kasparov and Anand. For instance, the difference in the level of analysis is shown at 13:52 with 38. Qf1; Agadmator at 8:25 in his video only meekly explains it as "Ding avoiding the Queen trade", missing the point, as GM King noted, that 38. Qe2, which also avoids a Q trade, allows Black 38... Rb2, X-raying the g2-pawn with tempo.

Yes this is major league stuff with 2 Queens and 4 Rooks floating around the board. How do you even invoke general principles? But Ding does managed to double rooks on the c-file and that combined with a more aggressive Knight position and advanced a-pawn seems to give him a nagging edge. A well-deserved victory!

Why not Rc7 on move 27? That doesn't win instantly? If Black goes Rd1+ then White simply goes Kh2, correct? What am I missing please?
