This was an amazing and insightful interview. Jewel taught herself how to be happy and healthy as a lifelong mission.

A very inspirational talk. Thank you Jewel and Meetup for sharing this. I knew Jewel was awesome (have seen her in concert) but this is a side of her authenticity and awesomeness I didn't know. Thank you for all you do!

Jewel has so much talent, clearly. Just saying her name I think of her very first album, and the tears it elicited in me. Most haunting. Meditation clearly will change your life if your practice it regularly. I do a meditation practice called the Daily Practice, and I learned it from the Crappy Childhood Fairy (here on YT).. I’d love it if Jewel and Anna could do have a conversation on her podcast. Thank you so much for this talk, I’m marking it as a favorite.

I was Jewel’s biggest fan growing up. Sang Foolish Games for my middle school talent show. I’m currently writing a book about making friends and building community as an introverted/anxious adult. I feel like coming across this is a confirmation to keep going. Still ❤ Jewel!

Jewel is so inspiring! Her perseverance and creative coping skills are incredible! I have read her book, Never Broken, which has been an inspiration to me. I can also relate to her experience as my parents also homesteaded in AK, and I grew up with similar challenges. I can appreciate the work she has done mentally and physically to not only survive but thrive!!! The best to her!

I saw Jewel in concert in the 90s and I always liked her and her music but hearing her speak on this subject I have a new found admiration and respect for her. Because of her background she obviously didn’t get sucked into the Hollywood machine and become a fake person. Talent wise she’s amazing and if you’ve never seen the episodes when she won the masked singer you have to check it out. It’s on KZbin.

I love how she found her own values to guide her. I am in this process still.... learning a lot from Jewel!! p.s. her performance in Toronto at MuchMusic's Live & Interactive ('97?) is one of the BEST performances of that song. I taped it on VHS back in the day and i'm sure it is still at my parents' house in Toronto

This would have nicer if they had a live video of her instead of just a still picture and her voice.

I could tell something was wrong with her because she just stares and talks using ventriloquism.
