No words can describe what this music is doing to my soul. It truly drives the darkness of this world away. Lord Jesus Christ help me to walk this road

Written by a musician born in the 1500s, and it's one of the most listened carols ever. That fact, alone, makes this music greater than beautiful: eternal.

This song perfectly expresses the longing of the human heart for the Savior--which normally transcends words--yet is somehow captured nevertheless within this radiant hymn, so sublimely rendered by this talented quartet

I will never not experience chills, while singing this. This quartet is superb! That stated, check out an original arrangement rendered by Alex Stephens(!) It's a different tack, admittedly, and genuinely personal. But...I'll ALWAYS love the original. HAPPY HOLIDAYS ❤🌲

A few years ago - maybe 45 - my Pastor introduced this piece - by “our dear friend Michael Praetorius” as if they had lunch earlier in the week. I howled laughing … great memories.

Not important. I got chills when first hearing this. Now, I'm used to the text because I've sung it, lots. Michael Praetorius was quite the musician, more than I can fathom.

I am an alto and did the same thing, she has an amazing voice. A music teacher (my Uber driver!) recently told me "It's the Alto who gives life to a piece"

When done well, it's as though it's ONE sound; I believe they achieved it. I can understand picking out one voice, though. I DO notice the bass (just because I've sung the bass part lots), but they blended...BEAUTIFULLY. And...that's probably an understatement(!) 🙄 ✌❤

Stunning performance! Fabulous phrasing, transitions, and intonation. Anyone have a link to the arrangement you used here? Putting together music for a live Nativity celebration, but all the sheet music I find is full of contemporary arranging and instrumentals that actually detract from the message and music! Any help highly appreciated!
