Prawns roast kerala style | Chemmeen Roast Kerala Style | Kerala style prawns roast
Ingredients
Prawns - 500 grms
Onion - 1
Tomato - 1
Green chilli - 1
Ginger and garlic paste - 1 tbsp
Turmeric powder - 1 tsp
Red chilli powder -3 tsp
Coriander powder -1 1/2 tsp
Garam masala powder -
Kashmiri red chilli powder - 1 tsp
curry leaves
Oil - 5 tbsp
salt as needed
Water -1/4 cup
preparation
1. Wash and clean the prawns, keep it aside.
2. Mix all the marinating ingredients like turmeric powder,red chili powder,ginger and garlic
paste,salt.
3. Marinate the prawns with the above mixture.
4. Heat oil in pan fry the prawns. Not over fry.
Prawns fry is done.. keep it aside.
5. Heat oil in a pan. Add ginger & garlic paste.Stir until raw smell goes out.
6. Add sliced onion , green chilli , salt mix it well then add curry leaves.
7. Add tomato cover and cook till tomato becomes soft…
8. Add all the masala powders (chilli, coriander, turmeric, kashmiri red chilli paste). Fry for 2-3
mins till the raw smell goes and oil starts appearing.
9. Add fried prawns and mix well.
10. Add 1/4 cup water. Adjust salt. Mix Cover and cook low flame around 7 mins.
11. Remove the lid, boil to reduce the excess gravy. Let it rest for half an hour for the flavor to
settle in…
12. serve it appam ,rice, chapati .........
