Please lift my son up in prayer. He is in an abusive marriage and his wife will not allow him to visit with the kids unless she’s there and that’s only at major family functions. I pray that he will find the strength to be an overcomer. He knows it’s wrong, but almost seems helpless. Jesus, please touch my sons family, in Your wonderful name. 🙏🏽

Dlodlo Mpangazitha, I taught high school seniors for years. Your experience with your 17 year old son is common especially if he is a senior. He is working toward adulthood and independence. It gets better especially if you just keep loving him and don’t get offended.

When they get that age, they start listening to their peers instead of their parents. No matter. Still tell them the right way. They will remember it after they go through their period of rebellion.

This is absolutely wonderful if you have an intact stable family with similarly believing neighbors and Friends. But a stressed out single mother , working one or two jobs with preteens (who barely made it through the covid school year )would never be able to relate to this mom and her experiences

The heart of a parent is not defined or confined by one's marital or job status. Most parents want GOD's best for their children. And as such, "parents" understand and identify with need to pray for their children's wisdom/discernment when encountering strangers or making the most of various opportunities, etc. - even at an afterschool program. So be encouraged to pray for (intercede) in the situation described because we are ALL part of HIS beautiful plan...I Timothy 2:1; Hebrews 10:23-25.
