Hey everyone! This is our first definitive tier-list type video, and for it, we are excited to welcome ‪@anddad‬ for the discussion! During this video in particular, we will talk about the standard 5-star characters and explain why we think they have improved over time, or even gotten worse in some cases, as we approach Natlan.
Please do remember that these tier-list videos are all SUBJECT TO PERSONAL OPINION, so if we place your favorite character lower than your standards, we don't intend to hurt anyone's feelings in that way. Also, this is not to be taken as complete factual information as we do realize there are a number of "hot takes" throughout the rankings. This is simply our cultivated thoughts put together into one tier-list, which also means that each of our individual tier-lists would look different (as will most peoples' tier-lists).

Tignari should be in A tier, pairing him with fishel and other supports makes him dish out 30k charge attack (good dps if built and good team comp)

I use tighnari with fischl and dendro mc and he can already hit 30k on charged attacks, he's very much comparable to alhaitham imo so I'd say if you don't have alhaitham or you don't like his playstyle tighnari is very much worth building. If any standard character deserves an S tier it will be him alongside jean if you have furina.

What is your stats of tighnari?

@@Refugee-o8u for the crit ratio it's at ~77:200 and talents 9/6/8, I don't remember how much EM and atk but I'm also using a dendro goblet, it all works well with dendro mc on deepwood. Tighnari on wanderer's troupe and r5 slingshot. It's hard to pinpoint how much damage his charged attack deals in total in each scenario because of the homing arrows. He still worked very decently even without that much crit tho.

Tighnari should be S tier. At least A. He is the best standard character at the moment. He is easy to build, he deals big damage and if you have his constellations he deals massive damage. Best standard dps hands down. Just give him Fishl, Kuki or even electro mc if you don't have Yae and put some wanderer's troupe artifacts on him and you are good to go. Maxed out abyss with C0 Tighnari few times already.

Tighnari is NOT next to Diluc lol Tighnari should be next to Keqing.

There are a lot of things wrong about Diluc part one his premium vape team has a higher DMG cap that burgone DMG teams. I'm just gonna give you a reference to understand how good Diluc is.We all know how good hutao is so, he is easily on par with Hutao teams if not better, let me explain, as his plunges are higher than Hutao's charged atk which is done in similar amount of time, and if you use plunge hutao it would not be comparable to Diluc plunge because claymore plunge multipliers are much more. Also one thing to notice Hutao C1 charged atk premium team is on par with C0 premium plunge teams. With proper vape setup you can get 250k per plunge, also he doesn't have a high investment teams as you mentioned Tbh since Furina and Xianyun as very versatile and can work on a lot of teams so that's just a one time investment for everyone.

TBH I have c3 diluc and don't use him. For me, all his teams are clunky versions of other teams. Yes, theoretically, his plunge damage is higher than Hu Tao. But you are locked to circle impact and have to have c6 bennet to get those vapes. Even compared to C6 Gaming, who feels much more fluent because his plunges are already infused. For a player like myself, I prefer consistency and ease of use over numbers. Hu Tao double hydro plunge ensures every hit vapes and you no longer have to manage stamina a super comfy rotation with high damage.

@@magiclover9346 Furina Bennett Xianyun has a bit learning curve but you get rewarded once you learn and it's most satisfying imo and Bennett circle isn't as bad since plunge has good AOE but if you are looking for comfort then furina yelan and Xianyun can still clear abyss content but I m not a fan of that team it pretty boring in comparison

I love Anddads point at 4:00 on Dehya. Although she isn’t the strongest, she fulfills a role that has less overlap from other units compared to other standard banner units.

I used Tighnari with Yae Miko, Yao Yao and an anemo character and honestly he helped me clear abyss so easy. Never left my abyss team tbh. He doesn't need a full 5 star team to be good because he already is. You just need an electro applicator and sustain.

There are a lot of statements I disagree with here, I will state them in order of character: 1. "Dehya is b tier." Dehya is a good over world exploration character, but so are half of all characters. Her burst has a slow animation, long intervals (so too much uptime), almost zero synergy and negligible damage. She kills herself off-field and her pyro application is really bad (even compared with Thoma, a character who wasn't even considered until late sumeru). If you wanna use her na to kill some hilichurl in the over world, guess what? Her na doesn't even hit half of the time due to her knocking back the enemy to nirvana and doing a short attack afterwards. There are people out there who c6 r5 her and her team damage is comparable to their free to play hu tao c0 white tassel. There isn't a single niche she can fill, that can't be replaced by another character. She is like kuki shinobu pre dendro release. She is unique but worthless. (Only good in underwater exploration as you can't use a healer there) the C1 Numbers should be in the base kit numbers (and I would only count C1 on characters because we are talking about standard banner characters.) 2. "Mona freeze" who the hell is playing her in freeze and are they ok? Monas best teams are quick swap teams like electro charged or dendro core related things. Her crowd control (cc) is a nice bonus on it and her best use case are groups of "smaller" enemies. In freeze you don't benefit from her short but strong uptime, you don't benefit of her high er and you don't benefit from her cc. I do agree that neuv and yelan are strong contenders for these quick swap type-ish teams. Also her rotation is really really weird to play but I think it is a fun challenge for anyone interested. But one reason why people might think she is played with freeze is due to freeze and monas teams having similar advantages and preferring the same type of enemies. Also C1 does have freeze in it compared to dendro but that doesn't mean it's worth it. 3. "Most of dilucs damage comes from good off field team buffer, he himself does almost nothing." First of all: based. But that is the entire concept of a hyper carry team, you have three characters who boost damage and one on field character to execute it. You could say the same thing about keqing, Xiao, ayaka, yoimiya, Eula, tartag, neuv, alloy lol, itto, cyno, wanderer, alhaithem, lyney, wrio, arle and chlor (if we except 4 star options). But the placement in c tier is good because except plunge he isn't worth it. His nishe (constant uptime on pyro na) was done better by arle. Now he only has his plunges... 4. "Thighnari is expensive"Tighnari is just a stronger version of keqing with a much faster rotation. I don't know why you need so many 5 stars, he can be run with fischl, sugar and dendro mc. A-tier. 5. "Jean in s tier" just because she is that dependable on furina and Xianyun exist I would put her A tier. Previously you guys complained about thighnari needing 5-star options, now it's my turn.

Man it's so sad seeing what happened to Mona. Back in 1.0 everyone wanted her, but nowadays she isn't that great to use unless you want to make a damage showcase. Her ult is also really clunky to use, sometimes it works other times it doesn't, yeah...

Yeah... I still like the Mona/Bennett + DPS burst nukes. Those are fun to do on e.g. the Raiden weekly boss but not practical in the Abyss especially with really aggressive bosses/big enemies with no down time.

Shes not clunky, you just have to do her E, , then swap to other character do EQ, then swap mona burst so she catches the particles while bursting

one thing I noticed with the recent dpses that have come out is the lack of interruption resistance that they have. I'm confident that Dehya's place in the meta, as well as Xingqiu's will be solidified once Natlan comes out. I'm betting it now, higher damage ceilings traded off for interruption resistance

You can make a pretty strong core of jean, furina, yelan. You can then slot almost anything you want in that 4th slot. An electro character like raiden. If jean is c2 that will make raiden even better. I use wriothesley there sometimes he also likes the c2.

--> Your video changed my opinion of Dehya. :) --> I would have put Diluc a lot higher. I agree he's only a DPS and yes, he's outclassed. The math is pretty clear that Yoimiya, Hu Tao and Arlecchino can hit harder if you're just doing vape but no plunge. That being said I would note (as you did) that he has two good teams: ----> Diluc Plunge (Diluc, Bennett, Furina, Xianyun) is really good. I'm one-phasing Dvalin, Sacarmouche, and other open world bosses. I'm tearing up domains with it. In the Abyss... it falls off a bit, but still solid. ----> I would also point out (as you did) that Diluc burgeon teams can work well too (Diluc, Nahida, HYDRO, FLEX). But then again, I am a Diluc apologist and that should be taken with a salt lick. But you guys said it best: look at the supports he needs: Furina, Nahia, Xianyun, Bennett... these are some of the best supports in the game and they can basically make anyone good.

I’m sorry, but your takes are just ?? First you say keqing isn’t fun and she’s weak for you. The fun part is okay, because that’s subjective, but with the weak part, you are probably not building her right or using her with the right characters. Then you say Emile (unreleased character) and Chiori should be in the standard banner? They are both super good (At least Chiori is, Emilie seems really good but there needs to be testing to be fully sure) and far beyond standard banner level strength. Then to top it off, after saying Keqing is bad, that Dehya and Qiqi “ain’t that bad”?? Like bro, for dehya (a defensive option with off field pyro) you can use Thoma (a defensive option with off field pyro) and he will be better. And with qiqi (a healer) you can use DIONA (a healer AND shielder) not to mention qiqis insane energy issues and providing nothing else except healing to the team.

The only other dendro DPS besides Tighnari is Alhaitham right now and C2 Tighnari slaps I run Tighnari/Fischl/Nahida and Barbara or Layla and it works for me just fine. Nahida is honestly an investment anyone can make with a good conscience Tighnari personally feels more comfy to play than Alhaitham, since his charged shots are basically homing missiles and you never have to get close to or run up on enemies ever

So this is pre 5.0 tierlist and diluc is c tier when has the furina xinayun yelan that team has the higher dps than more half cast currently in the game also going past that your reason is flawed the idea that this character is bad because the use multiple five star is long obsolete when the game is 4 years old tons of units best teams contain 2 or more five stars hell keqing mona and tighnari best team also us 2-3 fives stars in them and that just on standard banner not counting units like xiao wrio itto ayaka hutao cyno and I can keep going as of 4.7 all the five star dps are all easily A tier units now and its mostly the standard banner support units that suck now

She's not useless, and her buff is a big one, but with so many other simply better options like Furina and Yelan, it pulls her value down. Another big thing is that her uptime is VERY short. However, yes, she still has her uses. Nice job on the one minute clear!

A terrible tier list. Only Keqing is placed right. Jean can not be S, because of circle inpact alone. C0 Dehya above Tighnari is a brain rot. I have c4r1 Dehya and she is garbage, she always detriments teams damage. What people don't talk alot about is her terrible energy issues. Dehya generates so little energy that you might find a normally perfectly fine team suddenly starving for energy to use bursts. Only thing where people use Dehya, is for c0 Neuvillette, other than that she is bad, bad, bad. Stop white washing the biggest flop in GI.
