Pure genius. Heartbreakingly beautiful. Chris's chord structure and melody were rivaled by very few. He will be sorely missed. R.I.P

Only Sir Paul and Sir Elton have so much complexity and BEAUTY within their tunes. There is 25 DIFFERENT chords in this song. That's a staggering amount of comexity. People say ( rightly so) that he was an awesome vocalist...pretty amazing writer as well. R.I.P. Mr. Chris Cornell.
@brianash1795 Жыл бұрын
Spot on. No one talks about how amazing his songwriting is, the complexity of the chord changes he uses... sheer brilliance. The Beatles influence is unmistakable. R.I.P. legend...

Can we trade all the pop singers to get him back so many of his songs that have touched my life I stumbled across this song on Spotify a few days ago granted I'm a long time fan but just never heard this tune it just speaks to me right now

This is such a signature Chris Cornell song. Beautiful melody, chords, and the emotion. What a master. What a huge loss to the world - I'll never get over it. Rest in peace, you deserve it.
@AS-ye4yx6 жыл бұрын
What a beautiful man. He aged like a fine wine. Chris was/is a special light to this dark world we live on. 😢✨💫❤️
This was his best solo record, hands down. The best rock vocalist since Plant, in my opinion. A lot of people here mentioning the guitar work here, just keep in mind that the music was a collaborative effort. Mr Johannes played a heavy influence on this record. If you listen to the band eleven, you'll hear it. He is an amazing artist himself. He's worked with Chris, QOTSA, and one of my favorite Canadian Artist Ian Thornley. Ian is what would happen if you put Plant and Page in one body. Anyways, I miss Chris so much. One of my favorite artists ever. He will be missed.

Cebrin Pitts Chris was always good at writing interesting chord progressions even before euphoria morning.
@cebrinpitts2 жыл бұрын
@@MustObeyTheRules 110% agree. I didn't mean it as a knock on Chris. Cornell is brilliant alone. I just wanted to give a shout out to the band that shaped that record in such a unique way. The keys, the solos, the drums, all of it. Masterful artists from top to bottom.

This is sonic bliss. I think there are like 28 or 29 different chords in this song. Nice change from the typical 3 chord I-IV-V of old foundational pop.

28-29? way off but CC is brilliant. No one compares.
@DanSharpIBD5 жыл бұрын
@@LoveLjubav There are definitely over 20 chords, though. Although, in this performance he didn't play every chord variation that he played in other versions. I agree, he was brilliant. I don't think he'll ever get the credit he deserved for his song writing and guitar playing/arranging abilities.

No pretense, just purity of soul.Those blessed by seeing him perform this song must have enjoyed a piece of metaphysical higher truth. He is the spirit in the sky, brothers and sisters. The honesty makes one tremble and give thanks to our Redeemer.

Truly inspired piece of music; it never grows old. The lyrics are out of this world, but I particularly enjoy the middle 8th. There seem to be quite a number of music industry icons dying at relatively young ages as of late. Most of my musical heroes are now gone.

A gem. A masterpiece. Hope that Young people in the future Will listen to this and try to get more complicated chordstructures into modern music. 4 chords repeating songs are all there is on the radio nowadays. There is more to music than that. Chris Cornell was for me one of the best songwriters ever. Euphoria Morning his High point as a songwriter. Young musicians/ guitarists/songwriters, take a listen to euphoria Morning. listen to the album and see a Hole other Way to approach songwriting than 4 3 note chords going round in a Logic loop. Please.... we all need it..

This song is so deeply engrained in my mind. I can actually hear the strings and descending synth and the blips and beeps. The studio recording is a masterpiece of subtlety. Good Lord, I still can't accept he's gone. And I'm no band wagoner. Chris Cornell means a lot to my family, for private reasons. We have lost a pure angel.
