I have a quick a question, im putting a new torque converter on my minibike but the bolt for the front pulley doesnt fit into the jack shaft. Do you know what size that bolt is thats holding the front clutch on?

Try and get a 49cc 4t bike mounting plate. At worst you need to drill New holes but it'll work

I'm thinking about buiding pretty much the same setup as yours. What was the problem with the centrifugal clutch? I'm probably going to use the torque converter. What chain size is it for the torque converter? Do you have a link to the rear spocket and hub adaptor? Thanks.

Got a problem. In my country I can't get a predator engine but similar. The problem is the jackshaft dismeter is either 18mm or 20 mm. Do you think the cvt kit will fit in one of them?

All u said was tork converter... its 30 series -atm $55.. ebay.. rated 3 to 7 HP... 40 series is $150. ..steel plates re-inforced! 16hp... if u drive it gentle /last forever! if u nut case /burn-outs-wheelies/ramps- ..u cant harly break the 40 series! they tuff.... 40 series on golf kart- drag logs and tote 8 kids- and wheelies and still 12 hp.. lasted 25 yrs :>) ...beasty even ! smooth... alot to luv.. screw the old style clutch !

You can disassemble the pulley system and take the sprocket out and put it on the rear and re assemble

@@wellendowedforu yah the mount I made will fit the 160, but most frames won't, when I first built my bike I had to return the 160 and go with the 120 because the 160 would not fit in my frame.

how come your front part slipped on without having to heat up the plates ,mine is very tight on the shaft an have had to heat up the front pully parts just to get them on ,i,m now wondering if it should be so tight a fit ?

What tooth chain should I use for my bike and back sprocket

I used a 36 tooth sprocket. It works fine for me, but it will definitely put more stress on the frame. So if you want to have a faster acceleration and go up hills better you may want to go with a 40 or 44. However, The higher teeth you go the less your top speed will be, so I have found that 36 to 40 tooth is the happy medium with enough power to accelerate and go up hills, but still be able to hit good speeds if you have the setup I do with the torque converter.

In terms of the chain, most sprockets for motorized bikes use 415 chain

However, some of my subscribers said they were able to find them with the sprocket on the rear side on Ebay from third party sellers. Id like to build a 212cc motorized bicycle but nobody has any of those torque converters with the 415 sprocket on the BACK side of the torque converter plate underneath the engine head... Can't figure out how to do it either

Answer retired engineer my question is a very simple one. Somewhere in your video you mentioned at the end of the video would be a link to buy all the parts like the torque converter other accessories that you used throughout your other videos and I never have seen these links. Would someone please let me know where to buy the right size sprockets the actual torque converter I need everything I'm starting from scratch with a brand new bike, please help. Unfortunately the torque converter I used is no longer made. Some have been lucky to find them on ebay or other places but it isn't something I have a link for unfortunately

yes , its on e-bay: pick correct shaft! the 30 series comes both with 3/4..or 1 inch shaft! like $55 on e-bay.. 30 series is for 3 to 7 hp... 6.5 stock engine preditor ... add muffler + carb = 15 hp... then u need a 40 series 150$.. lol.. or... be gentle lol ..if u gonna rip on it alot.. 30 will break! they tuff though!

You may be able to get a GTC torque converter from Go Karts USA for a Predator 212. I am also new to this, so look into it first.

​@@BenCaranoI know this video is 3 years old but I have a huge problem. I bought a bike with this same setup, and the torque converter snapped. I ordered a new one but the back side has no way to mount the gear. How did you mount the gear on the outside of the torque converter??

@@codyzewscw I had to select it to come with a longer axle for a back mounted gear. The stock is limited though and I’ve heard they’ve been hard to find lately. I’d recommend making your own axle if you can’t find it available elsewhere
