Well that’s not too surprising, given our race's warrior culture. Throughout history, humans have risen above all other creatures, continuing to strive towards might and glory. With out intelligence, we’re among the most dangerous prey something could go after. We can create makeshift weapons out of very little, and in times of duress, we also can use our fight or flight response to our advantage, as if we end with the fight response, we become vastly more dangerous as our pain receptors are temporarily shut down, our speed, strength, and reflexes our enhanced to near superhuman levels. Well the Serpent Hunter took a lot of inspiration from xenomorphs as well to the point of actually mimicking their movements. Predators taking inspiration from their opponents isn’t something we haven’t seen before.

@@abellopez6597 Well as shown, should a Predator see you as honourable prey, it will fight you in hand to hand combat, or with swords, as in Predator 2 I believe. Point being, asides from the Bad Blood Predators, Yaut’Ja are generally honourable to the point of absurdity should they find worthy prey that they deem worthy enough to be fought in proper combat, and they have died to humans in such combat before, as they’ve visited earth a number of times, but never once decided to turn it into one of their hunting reserves, likely due to them realizing humanity as a fledgling species capable of achieving star travel given time.

It seems these predators get really inspired by the prey they hunt. I mean, why would the viking predator have the nordic compass and runes on his armor and weapons when he does not understand their meaning? Are they trying to replicate and take from ideas that other cultures invented, much like the ancient romans?

I think of it more that they respect the culture to which they have chosen, though it may have also been an inspiration. For the Samurai, I think he noticed the honor which the samurai warriors held. He may have seen that only the honorable warriors wore that armour so may have taken it as a way to show his honor For the Viking, he may have seen the Viking outfit quite often on the strongest of Vikings that fought him so he may have chosen so that they could see him as a worthy warrior of strength. As for the runes, he may have seen it on the amour of the fallen and decided to copy it onto his own.

Great Video man. My dream Predator movie would feature the Samurai Predator. I would have loved to have gotten some more backstory about him and who eventually defeated him. My guess is that he was eventually taken down by Hattori Hanzo sometime around the 16th century, and Hanzo took the Predator's blades and probably had them reforged by Muramasa to be turned into armour and a lighter indestructible Katana. That fight would be a visual masterpiece if ever that movie were made.

As I recall "Big Red" from the "Batman: Dead End" fan film was also called a Samurai Predator, too.

Little late to the party but, I think an interesting story for specifically the Viking Predator would be one of an exiled clan. Perhaps one that became too greedy in their hunts and chose to keep many of their treasures for themselves. This caused them to be pushed out into the colder areas of their planet which, as we know, Predators don't enjoy. There the cold hardened them both in mind and body, causing them to take bigger forms and to start wearing fur on their armor to keep themselves warm during their icey hunts. Perhaps the covered eye opening their masks show are a symbolic reference to how their clan was blinded by greed and thus had to pay a very high price. Perhaps individuals join Earth hunts to prove themselves to the other clans in hopes they will be welcomed back to the warmer climate for their honorable kills. For the Samurai Predators the only lore I could think to add is the fact that they modeled their armor after the Samurai as a sign of respect for the skilled warriors. Maybe these Predators focus more on the philosophy of hunting rather than the actual purpose of the hunt itself. This could also make their clan somewhat of an outcast as they question the multitudes of hunting performed on Earth. AS I said before, this is all head cannon but, though it may not be true I think it's more interesting than what little lore we were given.

All I've wanted to see ever since Witnessing the ending of Predator 2 is a Prequel set during the hot summer at the height of The Samurai Age of Japan,but also at a moment when Ninja Clans started forming to combat against the Corrupt Daiymo for the lower class people. Throw together a few prominent Samurai,a Few Disgraced Ronin,and finally a few rival and despised Ninja Clan members. I Rumors of a Demon that appears during the Height of the Summer Season Have started to run rampant and the Shogun has offered an award to Japan's greatest Warriors. Meanwhile for some of the Warriors,it's a chance to gain Glory,lost Honor,or Wealth for their Clans. Basically Ghost of Tsushima with a Predator thrown in.

looks at enforcer predator image shredder much lol but for this comment is more for the viking and samurai predator i find both to be pretty amazing and love all details on their gear mostly the viking pred mask and funny enough the day i first saw the samurai predator i showed it to one of my buddies and he drooled over it even though he wasn't that much into predator but to this day idk if it got him hooked to predator plus i look forward if they out of the blue put in a knight predator with maybe a sword and shield plus a crossbow
