This rendition of the theme is spot-on perfect! I have seen the movie dozens of times and own the soundtrack and I am unable to distinguish between the original soundtrack and this rendition. BRAVO!!! I SAY BRAVO!!!! One more thing, the audience reaction seemed rather muted. They didn't seem to realize what a special performance they were witnessing.

I have a friend who attends such concerts. He told me that the respectful thing to do is to be quiet and be in touch with the emotions you feel as you hear the orchestra play.😊

Thanks for letting me know. I can understand that view. On the other hand, by the audience not reacting to such an incredible job by the orchestra, they are, in a way, saying, "ho-hum, just another piece played by this very average group of musicians." The audio cut off early, so there may have been some positive reaction. I bet the members of the orchestra would love to get a raucous ovation!👏👏👏👏

John Carpenter proved in 1978 that great music makes all the difference between an pretty good movie and a Masterpiece. The '80s had some of the most epic soundtracks in movie history. A live orchestra isnt paralleled. There's an anime called Hunter x Hunter that uses a live orchestra in a battle arc known to be one of the greatest in anime history: The Chimera Ant Arc. The music is breathtaking. And listening to it, you wouldn't believe that it was made for an animated feature (NOT intended for little kids). KZbin: HxH Last Mission live orchestra.
