Great video. High quality. I like your style of bedding the trap in waxed dirt. Gonna have to try that. Seems easier than the way I do it.

Nice job man, and to avoid trapping coyotes when you are trying to catch cats what do you do?
@longbowbanjoAL5 жыл бұрын
box the trap in really fine. a coyote dont like to be guided. use sticks and leaves or whatever you got on hand. you can watch my bobcat videos if you want a visual. also a cat aint as worried about scent. so no gloves etc...

Not a lot of fields in my part of Oregon. Can you do a video of trapping in a forest maybe?
@ManagementAdvantage6 жыл бұрын
Most of where we trap is a mixture of woods and fields. We spend some time in the pines of Alabama as well. They have large stands of pines, but still, there are road systems scattered throughout that can be utilized.

What a purty cat.......................beautiful with those teeth and dark spots. Looks fairly big too, how heavy you think? Not many around I guess? Thought he was going to climb you there for a minute..........good release there...no injuries, be awhile before he forgets that little incident for sure. Nice trap setting cheers
@OGBRADASS Жыл бұрын
Why wouldn't you put waxed dirt around the perimeter of the hole, before you put the trap in, then fill more on top? The way you showed seems pretty risky in more ways than one.

Does blood on your set affect a coyote coming to it

Mu experience says lood has never made any difference.
@AnglerOutdoors8 жыл бұрын
Just curious how much does your own scent effect a coyote from going to your bait. (This is an example not sure any trapper would do this) So just say you have a pair of work pants that might have some gasoline on it and you kneel by your bait as you set your trap will that deter a coyote from going to your bait altogether? And then how about normal pants that are clean that you washed in the same circumstance how much would that effect a coyote from going to the bait. I leave my pants outside under a shed so they dont get wet but they are mostly scentless from being outside in the wind all the time.. Wondering if this helps to a certain degree or its a waste of time.

Angler Outdoors if they had that stuff on their pants they wouldn't wear them

Ryan McKay I know lol I was just giving an example of worst scent possible pants. Trying to figure out how much or little unnatural scent it takes to deter a coyote.
