In Shaa Allah I might see my 2nd Ramadan as a Muslim, but I feel really alone in my journey towards marriage and being almost 38, its a challenge. But In Shaa Allah I know HE will guide me. My notes if anyone would like: Premarital Questions Do you intend on living with your in laws after marriage? Do you intend on having more than one wife? Do you intend easing out kids the Islamic way and in madrasas? Do you put culture before Islam? How will we share house work and cooking duties equally as culture insisted that it is a women’s job? Do you expect the wife the do all the house work, cooking and raise kids while the husband is at work? How many kids do you intend to have? Can we got to Hajj for our honeymoon? Do you have any bad relationships with your family members? If so, who and why? What is your lifestyle like? Where does Islam stand in your life? Can you read the Quran? Do you follow the Quran and sunnah? Do you have any physical or mental health issues? For example diabetics, can’t have dairy, std, adhd, disease, etc Would you ever want to make hijrah (move to an Islamic country)? Or leave and move to a whole different county? Would you ever want to move to Saudi Arabia because I do Do you respect women and listen when they say no? Do you expect me to take your last name as Islam does not allow it? Do you have a green card, passport? Are you legal to be living here Do you pray 5 times a day? What time is fajr? (To test them since it’s the hardest prayer) Do you like to travel to muslim and no Muslim counties? Are you a clean and organized person? Would you ever buy a house or any property with interest even if it’s Haram? Do you do any Haram things? For example: smoke, drink, zina Do you plan on changing my personality after marriage? Are you financially stable to support me as Islam has made it your duty? Are you a coffee/tea addict? Things to do: Pray salatul istihara
