Spoke 3-4 times, Alhumdulillah ,no texting alhamdulilah, spoke in a halaal framework. It all felt right , nikah was within 2 weeks from the time he proposed . Halaal is possible, make alot of dua, stop looking, expend one's energy in good work. Keep the right circle. Allah has His plan and time. One more thing, nikah should be simple, easy,not costly and no music or intermingling, you Will experience the barakah of it in one's marriage. Don't emulate social media or desire that, it's just an illusion. Live off the grid❤️

Alhamdulillah may Allah (s.w.t.) protect you and bless you richly in this life and hereafter. I really find it important that you mentioned that it was essential for you to know who you are marrying before marrying them. Unfortunately it has become a rather widespread custom in our Islamic culture to marry someone they've only known for like 2 hours just to get a divorce the following year. Getting to know someone before marrying has become kinda stigmatized and even prohibited by some scholars. I personally hold the view that one has to know who they're marrying, see if they both get along with each other and then marry, without waiting for too long in a halal way of course (really sad that one has to mention that nowadays). It doesn't really take that long to know someone and their personality and you guys are the living proof of that. May Allah (s.w.t.) guide us all to the right path.

Why all the ppl I know who are originally from hot/warm countries and married to ladies from cold climate have the issue of AC UNITS! I’m British, originally from hot climate and my wife (bless her) is English, she is cold blooded and I’m the very opposite. I can’t stand the heating to be on in the house. I was expecting things to be other way around.
