You're welcome. It's really easy to get to, even if you're a bit jet lagged. It's a nice hotel, just a shame about the colour, but I guess that probably doesn't matter to most people 🙂. Have a safe flight.

Thank you for the video and thank you for the instructions how to find the exit, I had a trouble to find the exit as I turned on the left which o should have go to the right so I'm going to premier inn at north terminal tomorrow to get ready for my flight on Wednesday morning just before lunch time. I can't wait!

I stayed the one in Beckton Waterloo Dartford and that it it so fun comfey bed its lovely and i do two premier inn mottram and Bolton

I think you would like the PI at Heathrow T4, it has a long walkway connecting the hotel to the airport, and it's a nice hotel for watching the planes from your room if you get a runway view.

It's so close to the airport, the staff are friendly and in general you know what you'll get with Premier Inn as they're all the same. It's nice to stay there even when you're not travelling, just for people/ plane watching. It's my first choice when flying from Gatwick or Heathrow. 🛩✈

I'm glad you found the video useful. We've stayed at this hotel a few times and always had good service and is so handy for Gatwick. The garage behind sells drinks and snacks a bit cheaper than the vending machines.

You don't mention if this airport Hotel caters for people arriving departing at odd hours .i.e early check in and late checkout.

I believe all the PIs have check in available 24 hours because of the terminals, and they have a manned desk most of the time. The only problem we had was the breakfast opening times, we were told the restaurant was only closed 3am to 5am, but this wasn't the case. Some of the hotels you can request last check out for a small fee.

This was room 1054. I called a few days before and requested a runway view room. If you like watching planes this is a fantastic room, I sat for ages watching them out of the window.

It's a lovely hotel and I would definately recommend staying here. Maybe you could walk over to the airport the night before and find out where your check-in and departure area is, that might make you feel a little less nervous the next day. Have a safe trop.

Ah yes the hotel with the very unnecessary lift modernisation that made the lifts much less efficient

Apparently the reason why they got modernised is because they were having issues with the dispatching, and probably also because Kone, the manufacturer, use proprietary components on their lifts making it harder for other companies to replace/repair/maintain the equipment because they may struggle to source and install a genuine replacement part, so they probably found it easier to just replace the controllers with equipment they are more familiar with and work better with. I suppose that is fair enough but they should have made an effort to make the lifts run as well as they used to honestly.

@@blue.light.fazbear i don't really see how the mod has improved dispatching as the mod didn't convert them to a destination dispatch system. The only thing it could possibly be is if they made signalisation slightly clearer with TV screen style displays informing when a lift arrives, but doesn't KONE have something similar to that as well? Unless kone were really trying to make costs expensive I don't really see any other reasons

ZZ9 Productions I think that could well be the reason why they added those screens that tell you which lift arrived because it is likely many people missed their lift if they get the one around the corner. I suppose Kone could have something identical and they probably could have wired the displays into the existing lift components however since Kone components are proprietary it may be difficult or maybe not possible to retrofit the lifts with the system unless the owners decide to switch their contract back to Kone which may be more expensive than Titan’s.
