Great intro, made me laugh out loud! You forgot the safety chain/rope for the heat lamp don't want to see any bacon bits and barn fire video! OK safety hat is put away. Can't wait to see your bacon running around!

Boy, it sure does look like she's about ready to go. She's really big and looks like she should have quite a few piglets. Good luck! Be careful with the newborn's because I was watching another homesteader and their pig for certain reasons ended up forcing the piglets under them to keep warm and ended up smoothing them. So watch her close. Hopefully she has the disposition to not do that but would watch closely for the first few days. Good luck with them.

I see you’re from Michigan, I’m from Michigan as well. My town is very small and is based around the agriculture community. I’m right on the edge of imgham county and Livingston county. It’s always cool to see people close to you, doing what you love.

How exciting for you all. She'll do it at 2:00am. Lol I hope you video cutting of those scissor teeth. I tried to explain it to my cousin over the phone, but, a video would be MUCH better. 😁💗

OH DEAR HOMESTEADERS!...A mother before she gives birth (or hatches) needs to have her birthing space set up several days IN ADVANCE so that the last 3 days she can CHILL & allow her body to prepare. The babies are trying to get lined up in proper order & position & the mom is pumping out hormones for this MARATHON that she is about to undertake & ACTIVITY in HER space in those last few days is ONLY making things HARDER for HER!!! I'm sorry if I got the wrong 1st impression...I couldn't watch past the hammering, tossing of board & pulling NAILS, NAILS in her birthing stall? Did I get a totally wrong impression? I'm sorry if I misjudged...I've seen MANY new homesteaders MESSING with their animals before, during & immediately after they've given birth & I can tell you from a mom who gave birth twice at home naturally...DON'T MESS with Moms...especially at this time UNLESS it's Absolutely Necessary (according to a vet').
