Hi your recipes are awesome. I have tried many. I have made similar waffles many times. Just a tip, if you have extra egg whites leftover from other recipes, use them here. I have done this previously and it makes the waffles just that much more airy and light and enjoyable. Thanks. Watching you from South Africa.

This is my go to recipe. Fluffy sweet with a lovely vanilla scent. Frozen in individual baggy and put in toaster next day. Love it!!!

I don't have a waffle maker, but I can try them on a griddle. 🤩I love your fluffy pancakes and keep the extras in the freezer and pre make the dry in a jar on the shelf to pull down and add the wet to cook up when the freezer is empty! 🥰

I love Belgian waffles! I watched them being made in Bruges and I was surprised to see that they were getting soft balls of ‘dough’ off a tray to put in the waffle iron. You said they are many different ways to make them and that way was a different way for sure! Thanks for your version ❤

I have made them with yeast but, frankly, I prefer chemical leavening. Also 1/8 tsp. cream of tartar (no more) per egg white will yield slightly better results. This only applies to whipping them in glass bowls.

Interestingly, we don't eat those over here, in Belgium 😂 We differentiate between Brussels waffles (fluffy), Liegeois (solid), and so on.

Dry ingredients 270 team flour Baking powder 4tsps Salt 50 grams sugar Mix this, Wet ingredients: 2 eggs Separate the egg, yolk in a bowl And whites in a bowl In the yolk: 2 cups of whole milk Half a cup of vegetable oil 120ml 2 teaspoons of vanilla Hand mixer to the egg whites + add sugar Then combine the wet to the dry and mix it almost evenly, then add the egg whites , and fold the mixture

John, I recently got a new waffle maker and, not having seen your recipe, prepared Belgian Waffles using the recipe that came along with the waffle iron. The recipe was very similar to yours, and the waffles turned out perfectly. My question for you - is it ok to refrigerate the extra batter for a few days and simply use it as needed? Or, is this a no-no?
