Crystal I knew you meant ham hocks. Question....if you were using dried black eye peas would the cooking time be the same?
@MyGadgetKitchen6 жыл бұрын
I haven't pressure cooked dried, but I would start with 30 minutes for soaked peas and probably 45 minutes unsoaked. Is that a word? 😂

When you say let pressure release naturally, what do you mean? My beans were done but the foodie went to warm without releasing the pressure. I had to quick release to remove pressure.
@MyGadgetKitchen5 жыл бұрын
Meaning you let it sit until the pressure releases naturally on it's own

Lol! I thought that was a hock. So, if you're using dried peas, do they need to be soaked prior to this?
@MyGadgetKitchen4 жыл бұрын
Totally hocks 😂 😂 😂 you don't have to soak before cooking. That's the great thing about cooking beans in a pressure cooker. Sometimes I soak, sometimes I don't.
