Michigan has so many advantages because they were so deep last year. Recall everyone was saying their backups would start at most schools last year. Now those backups are the starters.

Wow - how could you not talk about Alabama doing a very rare early season non conference road game, and it being against Wisconsin at Camp Randall?
@b.d.ericksonii2033 ай бұрын
I disagree with JT in that Clemson needs this game. If there is one non-conference game you can drop, it’s to Georgia lol. I do see the ACC being the best it’s been in some time with Clemson, FSU and Miami all being double digit winning programs. In what may be the last year of the ACC being a football conference.

I like LSU against USC, but I feel USC can spread the ball around. However, LSU's physicality is probably the key reason why the Tigers win this close game.

Sam…just stop. After watching a couple of your videos, two things are clear: 1. You’re a Michigan/Big 10 gobbler. 2. You know nothing about Texas. Y’all say Ewers is overrated, but there are only a few teams in the country who wouldn’t take him as QB1, not that their QB is better, but because Ewers isn’t clearly better. That includes Beck, Gabriel, Milroe, and Sanders. Ewers completed 69% of his passes for 3,500 yards, 22 TDs, and only 6 INTs in 12 games. Ewers was better than every QB in the Big 10 last year. You talk about matchups? The Michigan Oline lost 7 players (6 drafted or FA signing) and one 4-star transfer. But, but, but…Texas…Sweat and Murphy…gone. Texas no stop run. Michigan with new Oline run fer 200+ and eleventeen touchdowns…Big House! Here’s a wakeup call professor. You realize Sweat and Murphy only played 50% of the defensive snaps…right? The Longhorns have a very good defensive line rotation and don’t need to have Sweat and Murphy level of play, 70-75% of their play will be ok, but I suspect Texas will do better than that. The interior defensive line will be solid; not great, but solid. Collins and Mitchell would like to say hello. Good luck moving Mitchell. You tout the Michigan Oline, who has been coached up by Moore, but you totally dismiss the Texas Dline who was coached up by Bo Davis, who moved on to LSU this offseason, but is arguably the best Dline coach in the country. But it’s not the DTs Michigan will have to worry about. The edge rushers are going to be a problem for opposing offenses this coming year. Moore, Sorrell, Simmons, Burke, and Finkley will squeeze the pocket often enough to make the QB think about it. Texas had 32 sacks last year. I would think that number will be closer to 40 this coming season. Texas lost J. Ford, but have Anthony Hill Jr., who looks to earn all-conference honors at MLB (5.5 sacks and 4 QB hurries as a true freshman), and returning starter D. Gbenda. The Texas linebackers are fast to the ball and sure tacklers. I’m not saying the run defense will be as stout as last season, but it will still be very good. The Texas secondary will be much improved from last season. Mukuba at FS, 5-star Derek Williams, who recorded 42 tackles as a true freshman, returns for his sophomore campaign, Jahdae Barron returns as a Thorpe Award semifinalist last year. Malik Muhammad is a returning soph. CB who earned a starting position by the end of the season as a true FR. Muhammad has the skill set to develop into an AA caliber player. He is fast, long, and tracks the ball and receivers well. There won’t be a lot of completions to his side of the field. Gavin Holmes will probably start at field corner, but Jay’vion Cole, who has 7 INTs in two years, will fight for playing time there. Backing these guys up are two 5-star players, Xavier Filsaime and Kobe Black, and Michael Taffe, who as a sophomore, started 9 games last season, had 46 tackles and 3 INTs. The offense: QB room: best in the country OL: best in the country RB room: deep, among top 5 in the country WR room: deep, among the best in the country While Michigan was a good team last year, and will be good this year, Texas isn’t intimidated by them. Bryant-Denny didn’t bother Texas, playing in the Big House won’t bother Texas either. You’re going to say 2023 Alabama was the worst Saban team in years, but Ole Miss and LSU couldn’t beat the Tide at Bryant-Denny, but Texas beat them by double digits. Playing against a new Oline and a QB who didn’t attempt a single pass last year doesn’t look good for Michigan. After watching the M Spring Game, y’all got some work to do on that Oline and Orji isn’t going to put the team on his back and carry them to wins. The only game Texas will not be favored is against Georgia, and that’s at 1.5. That can very well change by mid October. I’m not saying Texas will win the SEC, but they have as good a chance as Georgia, and a better chance than everybody else, including Alabama. Texas is a legit contender for a national title, and you, in your infinite wisdom, don’t even have them making the playoffs. Joke.

Brian Kelly beat Nick Saban's Alabama in his first season and got to the SEC championship game. Everybody expected LSU to only win 7 or 8 games his first season. Kelly is a better coach than you think he is. LSU will show in week 1 that this dude doesn't know what he's talking about. LSU will beat USC by at least 10 points.

Did either one of you see sc spring game? QBs and WRs tore than secondary a new one. The 3 QBs were a combined 80% completion rate. Some days in practice against air the QBs aren't that accurate. WRs were running WAO all game. Trojan secondary sucked ass. LSU defense returns 10 of top 15 in tackles. sc returns 7 in top 15. Tigers return 6 with multi sacks. sc returns 3. LSU returns 6 ints. Trojans bring back 2 picks. LSU returns 111 receptions to sc's 90. Tigers added a 1,000 yd receiver with 10+ TD receptions and another cat that led an SEC team in receptions. LSU not only wins but covers. GEAUX TIGERS!!!! lassiez lais bon temps rouler.

Why doses it matter who LSU returns from their worst defense in program history?
@FredPitre-o4b3 ай бұрын
@@JTSports What matters my partner is that worst defense in program history wasn't short on talent. It was short on coaching. Those 3 DTs that were just drafted were on their 3rd DLine coach from end of '22 season to start of '23. It was the lack of Xs and Os not the jimmies and joes. In 5 SEC wins and bowl win the LSU defense came up with multiple stops that were big MO changers and game winners. But all everyone remembers are the 3 bad ass losses. As BADDDDD as the LSU defense was the sc defense was even worserrrrr
