The fact that only 12,300 units are available is wild. I get that it's a "Limited Edition," but come on, Sony-did you not learn anything from 2020? Scalpers are going to have a field day, driving prices up faster than a rocket launch. What’s even crazier is that some sellers on eBay are already listing these shady "Attempt to Buy" services. And the kicker? Most of them don’t even offer a refund if they can’t secure the console. Like, who in their right mind is paying for a chance to get nothing? Every time I see one of these listings, I report it to eBay. I’m not sure it’ll help, but hey, gotta try, right? If you want to pitch in, report these listings too-maybe we can slow down the scalper frenzy.

As much as I hate this new Sony, the only thing I can say is that limited editions are cool because they are limited I wish they did 30 000 at least but I can't afford to be a gamer anymore now anyway. I actually spent $700 bucks Canadian in 2020 for a digital edition from some dude who won it, and his son wanted an Xbox. At the time, my special stash of personal money I saved when I found out about the PS5 was about to come out was 500, so I had to get more money selling my PS4 2TB. Then scalpers came in like the dad who sold it to me, (even if he was nice and wanted his kid to be happy) profited off of my desperation, and I believe I'm part of the problem now because I wanted it so bad I caved. And I was and am quite poor and should have waited. Now, Sony is telling themselves that scalpers will pay with bots, and Sony will get maximum cash, and they don't care about normal gamers anymore. They don't care about anything but money. I will buy a regular pro when PS6 comes out if I'm alive to see it, Lord willing and be a wait like the PS4 peeps now.

When the NeoGeo came out, no one could afford it, not to mention the cost of the games, yet it was the only way to get the arcade experience at home, at the time. The PS5 Pro brings nothing new, you can get a PC with similar performance for less. I'm just scratching the surface of the Xbox 360 and I'm very happy.

Naw fam, I wouldn't pay 700 even for the limited edition Pro UNLESS I didn't have a ps5 already. I mean realistically 700 for the Pro IF it also came with a disc drive wouldn't be a bad price. If base ps5 costs 450-500, and an extra 1-2tb ssd costs 100-200 that puts you at the price point of a PS5 Pro. And since the Pro also us wifi7, u get faster download speeds which may make ancillary features like ps+ streaming and remote play more reliable.

They actually didn't charge more. The anniversary was a really good buy as it included the stand, a regular controller, the pro controller with its bag, the grey plate etc. and also a controller charging stand. All of this in a special anniversary design and for the price of the "regular" pro controller. The offer was actually very good and surpsingly so as it wasn't even just a combo package but the special editon of each product contained

Enjoy your Original PlayStation colorway PS5 Pro dude! @ukemix8848 I’m not sure what your question is exactly, but I have an Edge controller too, I thought it was well worth it because of the changeable sticks, until I found out that they are always out of stock. I can’t accuse Sony of scamming customers, although it does feel like it but I would say I was ‘sold’ very quickly, on that ‘promise’ of a changeable stick, it would still be worth it to get the sticks at $20 a pop and never to worry about stick drift again, but here we are. Side note, if they decided to discontinue a product they’d do it. Backlash? Depends on how big, but in the end, in many cases, customers always loses even if they were right.

I am going to keep my PS5 Day 1 edition that you helped me Copp on release day. Sony did have to repair it under warranty for the HDMI port. Still going strong…. Cannot justify that price no matter how cool it looks.

Only at PlayStation direct, no other stores. Other retailers will have preorders for the slim, portsl, and controllers October 10 but not the pro

Being this is 30th anniversary PS5 Pro Limited Edition bundle, I could see Sony pricing this at closer to $2,000. I wouldn't mind trying to get one those 30th anniversary Dualsense Controllers. 😃
