That 40% of GDP is not public debt, it's private external debt. However I agree the government should be curbing the private sector from out of control borrowing. Alot of that private debt is related to property speculation.

The Mt Roskill MP came to NZ and trained to be science reseacher but turn to property management. We took a taxi the other day. This taxi driver came to nz from India 9 years ago. Are these two examples why sllow immigration?

Thanks people. Wonderful to finally have adults in charge who have life experience outside of being politicians and public servants. Cheers. Keep it up and sort out our failing Education, Health, Policing and Finances and the Social problems will then sort themselves out.
