Nicole, I’ve followed you for a long time now, but this, Blueprint Video, is by far the one that’s really grabbed me. I’m 68 and play just about every day, self taught by watching many videos! I have a Ball Machine coming soon, and I’m looking forward to getting back to the Basics, and working through the progressions as you’ve outlined, I already feel I’ve improved just by watching your video! Thankyou, and I’m really excited, and ready to become a much stronger senior player, and I’m having fun along the way, You’re Awesome!!🤩

As someone who started this journey a couple months ago, I have watched SO many videos to learn as much as I can. This is the Best information I have found to approach improvement in a systematic way. Thank you! I have shred this with my fellow playing companions.

I make this comment having only listened to the first few minutes of the video. Nicole gives excellent advice to keep a beginner's mindset (open mind) to developing skill. I haven't been playing that long but I notice a lot of people I play with do not want to add anything new to their game. I am sure this video is going to take me a while to digest!

I'm a new player (4 months) and have been watching a lot of videos, along with practicing a bunch to improve. This video was OUTSTANDING!! I keep practicing shots in a game, which I'm not really good at yet, foregoing stronger shots that I can make with ease. I know I'll lose points and games now, but in the end I'll win way more. Fun fun game.

All good, really good. Patience is really important. Improving takes time. I am very patient with my drill partner and students, but not myself. Go figure. Frustration happens. Don't pressure yourself. We usually end every session with 1 skinny singles game so we can use the skills we practiced in a game. Thanks Nicole 👍

Awesome! Yeah, we are hardest on ourselves. I am guilty of that as well.

are you training on a tenis court? Is it ok with the net height difference?
@primetimepickleball9 ай бұрын
No, it's a pickleball court. There's a tennis net dividing two pickleball courts.

Nicole this is great. I’ve started my own daily drilling sessions with my Slinger early in the morning before anyone else shows up and just working on specific shot that I want to improve over and over and over. I record myself too which is really really helpful. It does take time but I’m seeing payoff with improvements in my game. My challenge is consistency in execution! Your suggestions give me hope that if I keeping working on it, the consistency will get there! Thanks you’re one of my favorite coaches on KZbin :)

I’m thinking about a Slinger! Is it as good as it sounds?
@jillsdancer9 ай бұрын
I preordered mine when they were first announced about a year ago and love it! Super easy for me to move around and load and unload in my jeep. I run it with 100 balls and you can vary the speed spin and angle for just about any shot you want to practice. The oscillator is great when you want to work on your footwork too. It’s a great machine for the price.

This is music to my ears. You're on exactly the right path. The consistency will come eventually. It all takes A LOT longer than we would like. It's those that persevere that get the payoff. Keep at it!

May I offer a suggestion? For a video of this length, if you were to include chapter markers (timestamps), I would most certainly watch some portion of the video. As it is, when I see that it’s 24 minutes long, and I don’t know if there’s anything I’ll be interested in, I just skip it. There is a lot of content that is shorter that deals with more specific topics, and I watch a lot of those.
@primetimepickleball9 ай бұрын
That’s fair. Thanks for the feedback!

Short attention span 😂
@luke98229 ай бұрын
@@primetimepickleball@SoNowWhat This was a great suggestion and exactly what I was thinking. It's not that this is not a good video; it's because it is multipart and not everyone leaves the video needing the same takeaways. It is _much_ easier to find things later when there are chapters. They also help your KZbin algorithm. They are very easy to add to the description, so consider adding them.

Thanks for another great video, Nicole. Would love to attend a players' session or a teaching/coaching clinic by you. I taught / coached, was a district coordinator and trained student teachers in my 41 years as an educator ( and am now a certified pickleball instructor and donate my time at several towns to teach pickleball for their park and rec programs). Delivering quality and safe instruction which is current and fun is so important for players. Understanding and analysing movement and skill mechanics is essential. You are truly one of the best in the field! ( and honestly, many great players and certified instructors with no educational backgrounds just lack that ability).

I so appreciate the kind words about my coaching. I do hope to coach clinics as soon as I'm able (still waiting on injury to heal). I'll announce via the newsletter when that happens. primetimepickleball.mykajabi.com/dominating-doubles-newsletter-optin-organic

Excellent young lady thank you I am now 80, have been playing for 8 years and frankly I have NEVER practiced. This is largely due to lack of a practice partner and lack of suitable facilities to practice (I.e. wall) I play, even at 80, at the top of my playing facilities and even have formed clinics at our over 55 residence These points you have made in this video are well authored and , now, with my first practice partner will use them in our upcoming practice Sessions Ty
