Great job on the boat build Duong but you're gonna have a leak, fiberglass is your real solution, I respect your primitive goals though so your next best bet is pine resin..which may not be available in your rain forest so next up is latex, which you have the trees in abundance. it was an ok idea to try the root vegetable to seal the cracks however, that won't hold due to the lack of binding properties..btw thanks for the return of American english!! 🇺🇲

Your life will be much easier if you make a Kayak style paddle, which is a longer stick with a paddle on each end. You can use both hands without repositioning, and it will reach both sides of your boat, and you could remain reclined in your seat while you use it.

If so is there some kind of gum from a tree (that fish won't eat or get sick from) that you could use to seal the boat. Also if you put straps on the handles of the oars would it help you row better with your feet (but not hinder a quick release of your feet in an emergency)? Just wondering. That is a very long way to go for leaves. Her farm is 10KM from yours, isn't it? It will be nice when your wife has a chance to return. There's a lot of good earth there to grow hillside crops in. I imagine she could grow a lot of cucumbers or melons on that land. If you get a little free time, I don't know if it's the right time of year, but you could pick a small area to the side of the farm aand plant a bunch of casava canes for her to harvest in a couple of years. Hopefully, by then, she won't be needed at home as much and can continue making videos - if that's what she wants.
