Such a beautiful soul. He's honest, passionate, caring, unique, creative, and most of all very spiritual. Behind the music he was a good person. Most people misunderstand him and so quick to judge and don't take the time to observe him more better. People would call him gay, arrogant, creepy/weird, peverted all of these negative things. Even with a rough childhood, and having to face with so much harsh remarks from society, he transformed into something beautiful. I've always loved Prince not only just because of his music but by his character.

@@garfieldharrison510 wow, u were lucky dude! To see him in person, several times? AWESOME!!! I agree, he has left us with so many gifts, so many recorded live sessions, so many albums, interviews, pictures. That's why I comment in videos about him, y'all don't be sad, he's gone in physical presence but his spirit is still here and all around. All you've gotta do is open your ears and eyes. That's also why it is so bothersome to me, that there is SO MUCH controversy and argument and conspiracy surrounding his death. Personally I do not believe he was murdered, I believe he died just as it was said: accidental overdose. It's not about "believing everything the media says". It's about common sense and facts. But in the realm of opinions.....you know what they say. I just wish everyone would stop all the arguements and the insistence of, "oh we gotta fight for justice for him, someone was after him, the drug he died from was CREATED for him, he wasn't no addict, no way he could've been addicted to opiates". Facts point mainly in one direction. That's all I'm gonna say on that part because I have already gotten completely off track with my response to your comment. I just honestly think we should let this man rest in peace, he's in a much better place, he wouldn't want everyone arguing over him, causing all this drama, he would want people to continue to do what we can ALL AGREE ON: THAT WE NEED TO KEEP HIS MUSIC ALIVE AND BE INSPIRED AND APPRECIATIVE OF ALL HIS HARD WORK. much love💜

He would want us to continue to love and appreciate his music, his hard work. We have all these wonderful gifts he has left behind for us! So many recorded interviews....performances.... albums...films, and pictures! We will always have that. His spirit is very much alive still. He is not here in his physical form, no. Death is a part of life. We all are gonna go one day and take that walk. Yes it is terribly sad that he left so early. But he's on another journey. He's happy, he's good, he's in a good place. There is no originality left in the world anymore. None. I have found I have a terribly hard time getting excited about any new artists. I recently got very interested in a young girl who was on some TV singing talent show & I don't recall the name of the show. She put out a few singles and she had this beautiful voice! And at a young age, I think she's only 17 now. And let me be clear this is my opinion only.....but on about her 3rd released song....I got very disappointed. It's like she just straight up became mainstream. It's almost like it was obvious that record company wanted to turn her into something that would sell sell sell. So it seems some of her originality is beginning to wane already.

If he was touring with Sheila E. then you must've seen him in '88 for the Lovesexy tour, as Sign O the Times didn't get a tour in the states. Also, this was actually before he named his new backing band the New Power Generation; they weren't officially the NPG until Diamonds and Pearls in 1991.

Bill, thanks for sharing this interview. You had such great rapport with Prince that made this occasion nice. I wonder out of all the people that you interviewed, if this was your favorite interview. The music was incredible.

amazing how you kept your composure and professionalism in his presence and actually speaking to him. almost makes me wonder if you even knew who you were interviewing or if you were just told to interview him and given questions to recite.
